[00:00:00] Speaker 1: Sometimes in a video there are times where you maybe speak a little bit too quietly or a little too loud. Maybe your music needs to be turned down a little bit just for a part where you play a video. There are a lot of different times where you want to play with the volume and so we've added that to the new Riverside editor and I'm going to show you how to use that in a few different ways. So here's a workshop that I did and you can see right over here that I spoke a little bit more quietly and I wanted to raise that volume. So what I can do is I will just go into this section and I'm going to expand tracks because there are multiple people speaking here and I wanted to focus just on my track. What I can do is let's just say I'll split in the beginning and the end of the quiet part over here and then I can use these three dots and change the volume just on that part. So you could see that the waveform reflects that so you could really see that it matches up with the rest of your track if you're trying to have it align. So I can drag and drop that to make sure that it's exactly where I'd like it to be and that's how I raise the volume on just one part of my track. Another example that I want to show you is how to use it with music and how to split your music so that the volume changes throughout your track. So let me show you how I did it for an episode that I created. In the beginning of my intro I want the intro music to be quiet in the background but then when my title graphic comes up I wanted it to be louder and then fade in to the episode. So I'll show you a little preview. If you're ready let's dive into today's lesson. Today is day two lesson two and we're going to be talking about equipment. So you can see that it started quiet when it showed my title track it went louder and then it faded out and I want to show you how I did that step by step. So here's the intro music as I put it up it's from my music library and what I did is that right over here I know that I want the volume to change that's when the title track comes up. So I click right over here and now I can split my music track. From there on this one let's work with this one first. I want the volume right over here let's say to be 11 and I don't want it to fade in or out I want it to flow right into the next part. So let's set this to 11 but right over here I want it to be louder and I found that 43 works best for me for this part so I'll change to 43. I also know that I want to have let's say four seconds of fade out and then I want to drag that over to here because I want it to fade out pretty quickly once I start talking. So you hear that boom started that's when I want that big kind of build up to be when my title screen shows. So a very cool thing that I could do now I know in this moment is going to be where that kind of boom begins. I'm going to split that music track again zoom in and I'm going to delete it. Now I'll drag and drop it right over here and so you could see there that I created a really custom intro with the music that fades in and fades out and the volume changes just like I did with that track and changing the volume you could do that with music as well. So now between changing track volume and being able to really go in and change that music volume and be able to cut that music track you can really perfect how your content sounds and so with that I'm excited to see what you create with it. Go ahead and try out all those new settings in the Riverside Editor.
