Speaker 1: My dream has always been to be of service to my people. Tanzania is my home, everyone I know and love is here. I'm very proud that at Wimbledon National Hospital I'm able to pursue my dream. Service to my people. Today, our entire management is working towards a common goal of improving patient satisfaction. We are catering to a very diverse society, including tribal communities and also patients from outside of Tanzania. There is a continuous effort by the entire hospital staff to make every patient receive state-of-the-art health care that they deserve.

Speaker 2: We have a vision to create a sustainable health care system to provide quality care to every Tanzanian. Like any developing country, Tanzania is also facing demographic challenges like growing population, increasing lifestyle disorders and lack of infrastructure. Being one of the oldest and largest hospitals in the country, our biggest challenge is shortage of skilled health care professions. But that is quickly changing. We are taking adequate steps to overcome this challenge by investing in upskilling of our staff. This is also possible because of the support from the Minister of Health and international partners such as Siemens Healthineers.

Speaker 3: The radiology department at Mwimbili National Hospital prioritizes patient care and comfort using a team of 63 skilled staff, including super-specialized and general radiologists, technicians, nurses and support personnel. We perform approximately 72,000 annual diagnostic and interventional procedures for Tanzanians and international patients. Our qualified team undergo regular training and continuous medical education updates supported by various stakeholders. These trainings enhance their ability to master imaging equipment such as in low-dose CT scans, performing advanced imaging such as in cardiac CT and MRI.

Speaker 4: From this training, I learned a lot of things that I am able to do different examinations in patients like brain MRI, MRCP, breast MRI, total spine. I use minimal time. I can do 20 patients per day.

Speaker 5: Through the training, I've managed how to do the 3D reconstruction of the image from patients which can have been using a minimum period of time to scan many patients per day, more than 50. So through that reconstruction, we can minimize the radiation dose of the patient.

Speaker 1: These kind of intensive training programs are really the need of the hour. Our staff is learning how to utilize these advanced medical systems not only to improve patient outcomes but also to enhance the overall productivity of the hospital. Being trained and certified by international reputed medical technology partners and working with the Ministry of Health really makes us look at the future of a sustainable healthcare system in Tanzania.

Speaker 2: Thank you.
