[00:00:02] Speaker 1: Hi, everyone. Thanks for joining today. I'm really excited to be speaking with you all about how Rev is helping prosecutors and get from, you know, taking in all of their documents and really understanding what's in the case before the trial happens. So I'm going to jump right in. I'm Mike Maritz. I'm a senior account executive here at Rev. I work with a lot of DAs today and really help them be more efficient and be able to close more cases as well as get some of their time back. So I'm going to start sharing my screen. Excellent. So the agenda today is really start off with a walkthrough of Rev and turn it over to you guys. If you have any questions, happy to answer them during the session. But before I jump in, really want to hone in on, you know, what Rev is really focusing on. So today we see that prosecutors are just overwhelmed. There's hundreds of cases per active pending cases per prosecutor. And a lot of this is just due to an explosion of digital evidence. And you think there's by one camera footage, jail calls, police reports, surveillance footage, interviews, interrogations, photos, more. And a lot of these are all landing separately. So it's not kind of this neat, tidy packet that you have. And it's really just an overwhelming quantity of these files. And ultimately, there's just not enough time in the day to review all the evidence for all your cases. And ultimately, this means that prosecutors aren't set up to win. There's one DA that I've been working with. They said, I don't think I've had a case where I've made it through all the evidence, which, you know, that's no indictment on them. It's just how the system is set up. And ultimately, Rev is really positioned to help them identify all the key evidence and, you know, ultimately get those convictions and work smarter, not harder, right? So as I jumped into Rev here, this is what our home screen looks like. So we're going to be able to integrate with really any cloud storage provider that you have. So we're a Google Drive user here. But a lot of times, you know, Chrome Drive, Box, Dropbox, and the like. Very easy to integrate and just upload right to Rev as well as just, you know, uploading from your computer or just when you do get like a junk drive or just a zip folder, uploading it that way. But I really want to focus on where Rev is making the most impact and, you know, how it actually looks when you're working a real case. So I'm going to jump over to workspaces. And this is just how you guys are going to be working with each other on individual case. So, you know, it could be organized by team for, you know, district or superior court or, you know, circuits if that's how the legal landscape is in your county. So I'm going to jump into the criminal legal demo workspace. I'm going to go to one of our files. And you could organize these by like active cases or, you know, which attorney owns them or, you know, just what the actual case name is, right? So let's look at a DUI today. Now, as I jump into the case, you'll see that for every single file, you're going to get a summary. So this is really important when you get, you know, a couple hundred files. You don't know what's in each. You don't know what's important. Just having a quick one sentence overview of what everything is, you know, what's important, who's conducting the stop, and then maybe tagging a stop if it's important, you know, really want to hone in further. But where it's most, where Rev is most impactful is just being able to analyze all the evidence at once. So right now we're going to take in body cam, photographic evidence, as well as a number of documents relating to, you know, kind of the arrest and processing. So we're going to look at them all at once with our analyze feature. And then taking in all these, we have about 14. You can do this up to hundreds of files. I'm going to create case chronology. I want to know exactly what happened, what happened, and really just get an overview of my case. And this is going to generate within about a minute. So once you have the case, just being able to understand it instantly is going to be really, really valuable for the team here. I'll give a minute to load. But as it's loading, you'll notice that everything is being cited with these little numbers. So every statement that our system is making goes right back to the evidence here on the right. So it's moving a little quickly. But if I click one, the sight line was partially blocked by a delivery van. When the car clipped the curb for this DUI case, it cites right back to the arrest report. But also, you know, with these body cam footage, might not be in there yet. There we go. It's going to cite back to the transcript that Rev is automatically generating for any type of jail caller, body cam, or anything else with audio that you upload. And it's going to say it back. And Rev is really powerful in that you can validate everything that's telling you this way, as well as we're a closed system. We aren't able to access the internet. There's no possible way for our system to make anything up. So you're able to trust it and actually use it. We know that there's a lot of hesitations around artificial intelligence today. Great. So, so far, we've generated from the report what materials are within this case, the timeline of the event. So, all right, it's going back to the prior conviction of a DUI. So that's great to know right off the bat for your team. And then the actual event itself, we're getting a line by line, minute by minute, really summary of exactly what happened. So here's the observation of an officer watching them strike the curb. He raised a report. Another officer's en route to assist. They stopped the vehicle at a fuel station. An officer arrives. And then you'll see that the testing's administered here. And let's say if they fail, let me play right here. So you can actually play the video right there. And you're also able to clip these pieces of video. So you can copy right here. But if I go into the actual biochem itself, so, you know, that happened at 1346. We can just clip that and then download it to our files or save it within Rev. And, you know, be very make it very easy to add it into your files. So I'm going to go back here. And, you know, one of the other things I want to highlight is, it's also going to flag, you know, just in this example, if there's, you know, any type of inconsistencies or gaps. So, you know, being able to say, okay, well, we have all this, but there's no footage of the actual driving conduct. As well as so for this demo, I added some images of, you know, empty beer cans and the curb strike tire into this file. Well, RAI actually identified that, hey, this is a wrong vehicle. There's some chain of custody issues, which is, you know, really impressive that's able to analyze these images and say, hey, the vehicle in the image doesn't match what's in their police report. And, you know, a lot of times you're going to be able to catch inconsistencies between what happens in the body cam as well as, you know, what the officers say in the reports as you're building this case and preparing for, you know, any type of questions from the defense who's arguing against you. And, you know, outside of templates, and this is just an example, we work with our clients to generate, you know, any type of document that they're looking for and, you know, being able to just draft it immediately right here. So, all of our clients, we're working with them to create documents that they use every day, one click, just like I showed with this case chronology, and then have a document ready for a second pass that you're going to work on, you can edit within. And turn off those citations, explorers, PDF, et cetera. What also makes Rev really powerful is just being able to be conversational with your evidence. So, outside of those templates, being able to say, hey, did the driver admit to drinking? And you can see immediately found that, hey, the driver did admit to drinking. Here's the citations. Here's a video of them editing that.
[00:10:26] Speaker 2: Okay. One drink is all right. Okay. All right. Are you willing to do any test for us to make sure you're okay to drive?
[00:10:35] Speaker 1: And that's really, really powerful. Now, back to going within an individual body cam. So, for everything you upload, you're getting a transcript. And Rev is really the best in the industry when it comes to these transcripts. We've actually been chosen by Axon to provide all of their transcripts for their body-worn camera, as well as some of their AI capabilities. And, you know, really what this comes down to is just being the most accurate, identifying who's speaking where with, you know, very high confidence. So, for anything that you upload, it's going to be 96% plus accurate. And that's a really high standard for getting these summaries and just understanding your case immediately. And they're very easy to edit, as well. So, if I change speaker one to Mike, it always knows that Mike is speaking where. Same with speaker two. And then you can, you know, split these up, change any words that are wrong. So, let's say, for example, something that the AI doesn't always pick up is do a breath analysis of your, I'm assuming it's blood alcohol level. So, I can easily change that to BAC. And then, you know, highlight, clip, comment, whatever, as you're working with your partners. And be able to download it in whatever format. So, if you don't want filler words, you know, you can exclude those, as well, or any paragraph timestamps. In addition, you can do the same thing as I've shown before and just be conversational with all of your evidence. So, you know, asking, where did they fail any of the tests? So, it shows me, hey, here are the three tests they failed. Here's where it is within the video.
[00:12:43] Speaker 2: Okay.
[00:12:44] Speaker 1: And it finds it almost instantly. So, for example, of, you know, real life, where this is really powerful, one of the DAs I'm working with put about a thousand jail calls within the system. All of these were in Spanish. And Rev actually has a translation feature available. And this was a sexual assault case against a minor. So, they're able to go through a thousand jail calls, identify incriminating statements on them, and actually use that to get a guilty plea from the defendant. And not have to bring in, you know, the victim into court, testify, and put them through that all over again. Which, you know, the efficiencies that were dry aren't great. These take, you know, hours and hours to make by hand and to review all this evidence. But, you know, ultimately, what it's all about is justice and, you know, doing what's right for the victim. And I think that's where Rev is going to make the biggest impact for, you know, really all of our all the DAs that we work with and potentially some of you out there today. Now, moving back to the platform. So, I did just want to highlight, you know, in addition to our AI transcripts that we're providing with any uploaded video today, you do have the ability to or human transcriptions, which are about 99% accurate. Rev has been the transcript business for almost 20 years now. And, you know, especially with a heavy legal focus, we actually are able to develop our own ASR model, speech recognition model, which is what makes our AI transcript so valuable. But if you do need that extra couple of percent accuracy, you know, it's a very important case and you're planning to use these, you know, for a deeper view, this is available and something that a lot of our defense attorneys use constantly. In addition, we have a mobile app where you can record, you know, witness interviews, as well as an AI notetaker like is on this call. And that's going to generate a live transcript. That way you can just focus on the victim, you know, on that interview, be as present as possible and, you know, really pay attention and then go back, review your notes afterwards. In a nutshell, that's really where Rev is helping. So, you know, just being able to analyze the case as a whole and get out from under just the mound of digital evidence that teams are struggling with today and get your time back. All the DAs that I'm working with constantly say they're bringing work home at the end of the day. They're reviewing this evidence after hours. You know, we really want to ease that burden and prevent burnout for the entire team. So, if there is interest in that, don't hesitate to reach out. Here's my information. And we'll reach out after this session. Are there any questions from the team here?
[00:16:00] Speaker 3: Yeah, thanks, Mike. We'll go ahead and open it up to Q&A. The first question that we have is how does Rev handle security?
[00:16:11] Speaker 1: Yep, absolutely. So, Rev is CGIS and HIPAA compliant. So, all the DAs that we're working with have, you know, no hesitations around uploading any of those criminal documents as well as medical records. So, we're really the highest level of security there when it comes to handling criminal cases.
[00:16:33] Speaker 3: Perfect. Thank you. And then the next question that we have is are human transcribers available for different languages as well?
[00:16:41] Speaker 1: Yep, they are.
[00:16:44] Speaker 3: Awesome. Thank you. And then the next question that we have is how customizable are the templates in Rev?
[00:16:53] Speaker 1: Yeah, they're highly customizable. So, we have, for any, you know, new client that onboards with us, we're going to give you a dedicated customer success manager that's going to work with you to be, you know, as proficient as possible in Rev. And part of that is setting up these customizable templates. So, you know, really, these templates are going to look exactly how you like them, and we're going to find and tweak them, you know, over the course of your contract to make sure that they look exactly how you want. And, you know, the results are always going to be what you're looking for.
[00:17:28] Speaker 3: Perfect. Thank you. And then the next question that we have is what are the different tiers that Rev offers?
[00:17:38] Speaker 1: Yep. So, we have a couple of different tiers. So, for, you know, our really non-government clients, there's Essentials and Pro. There's also Free Account where you can try it out. The main difference there is just going to be the amount of minutes and just a lesser level of security.
[00:18:03] Speaker 3: Thanks, Mike. And then the next question that we have is, can I upload a deposition transcript into Rev and then search it?
[00:18:12] Speaker 1: Absolutely. Yeah, that's very easy to do. So, the analysis I showed earlier went through all these police reports, but you can easily, you know, upload deposition. So, if I go to a civil example, I think this one has a deposition in there. I can actually just go into this. So, if you just have the interview, we'll create a transcript for you. But if you have the transcript already, absolutely, you can search it, go through it, no problem at all there.
[00:18:56] Speaker 3: Perfect. Thanks, Mike. Well, that's all the questions that we have. Thank you all for joining. We'll be sending out a recording shortly after to your email. So, keep a lookout for that as well. And if any other questions come up, please don't hesitate to reach out to Mike. But thank you all for joining and have a good rest of your day.
[00:19:18] Speaker 1: Thanks, everyone.
