Speaker 1: Hi everyone, this is Yawan Bhaiyya and today we will be talking about distractions. Before that, I would like to share a few stories with you. Let's say we have to build a building. Before building a building, there are two requirements. One is an architect and the other is an engineer. Without an architect, we may not like the engineer's work, it may not look beautiful, the rooms may become small or big. And alone, an architect is not beneficial because you need an engineer to build it. In the same way, there is a cycle. The cycle also has two tyres. The front tyre is used for direction. And the rear tyre is used for pulling the car forward. In the same way, once we had to cross the road. While crossing the road, there was a blind man who could not see. But fortunately, he could walk. His body was strong, but he could not see. And there was another person next to him who could see, but his legs did not work well. So, both of them made an agreement that one will pick up the other, one's work will be used, one's legs will be used and the road will be crossed. Both of them crossed the road together. The summary of all these three stories is that we need two things in life. First, there should be a vision. What is to be done and what is to be done. What is right for me and I should do this. And the second is what we call execution. Whether you remove one tyre from both the bicycles, whether you remove one from the architect-engineer, or remove one from the story of the blind man and the lame person we just discussed. We find it difficult to reach our end goal. So, many times there is a problem in taking a vision, that we have considered ourselves to be very useless, and we think whether we will be able to do this or not. Here, it is not about being over positive. Here, it is about taking a dream for yourself, that if there are such people on this earth, who have achieved something on their own effort without any support, then why can't I do it? And second, if you have taken a vision, then the person lacks in execution, because execution is hard, and our brain is wired in such a way that we can get attracted to distractions. If you keep a packet of chips in front of me, I will eat it. If you keep a chocolate in front of me, I will eat it. If you keep other things in front of you in the same way, then you will eat it. In the same way, the environment is very important. If there are things around you that can distract you, then you will get distracted. Your mind is wired in such a way. Second, there should be a constant reminder of that vision. Whether you write your goal big everywhere, whether you put photos of your strong, successful, ideal people. In our Indian history, you will find great people like Vivekanand ji. Everyone has their own. Whatever you like, you can put those people in front of you. Write your goal. Why did I follow this? So, a constant reminder is needed again and again, that I have to prove my relatives, I have to prove myself, I have to prove my parents, or I have to work hard today and do better tomorrow. For what reason did I take this vision? I have my own commitment. I will give my 100%. I have to learn in this whole process. I have to take pain. I have to work hard. My brother said, my parents said, the more you work hard, the better you will take shape. Then, let me tell you some other small things. There is a way to use the internet. I would like to share that way with you today. It is a bit difficult. Whether it is YouTube or Instagram, there used to be television in the olden days. So, there you had to take a decision, which channel should I watch? Should I watch Discovery Channel? Or Cartoon Network? Or News Channel? We used to take a decision. Today, when you play Instagram, you don't even have to take that decision. And this is very good for the human brain. You don't have to take a decision. Just open the phone and suddenly something is coming and it is coming in a high volume. Suddenly its music is also changing, the context is also changing. So, here you have to understand, these platforms have algorithms to play with your mind. When you go on YouTube, and you see the home feed, you will see different things on that home feed. Sometimes you will see, what is happening in the US? Sometimes you will see the current affairs topic. Sometimes you will see, which new car has come? Sometimes you will see, which new phone has come? Sometimes you will see, how can you do this business? You will see the business case study. And you will think that you are consuming something for your studies. You are learning something. But the reality is, if you are a school student, then this is very beneficial for you. And if you are a college student, where I say, you should have a grounded personality, that is also harmful for you. The rule should be, that whatever vision you have taken, to reach that, whatever you need, you search that specific thing on YouTube. That I want to study the solution chapter of chemistry, give me that. Or you say, I want to learn coding. Or you say, I want to learn C language. I want to learn Java. I want to learn binary search algorithm. I want to see, how to make a profile on LinkedIn. I want to see, how to make a resume. I want to see, how to make a referral. I mean, what is your specific need, write that in the search engine. In the search bar. And then you will get, that one method, with which you are taking benefit from the internet. Otherwise, if you are using home feed, or without taking a decision, the search you are doing, that harms you. Now what is the solution for this? There are many solutions for this. You can't get that many solutions in the phone, because Android and IOS are different. But you use websites specially. So it is very popular, which I have told you before, I would like to tell you again, by unhooking. For example, you go on Google Chrome. Google Chrome is used by the majority of people. There are Google extensions. So you search, go to Google, Google extensions. Then click on the first link. And then search there, unhook. So what unhook does is, on YouTube, your home feed, you can disable that. The video you are seeing, there will be more recommendations on the side, that watch this after this. All that will be disabled. You will only see those channels, which you have subscribed to. Or you can disable that too. So on YouTube as a platform, whenever you go, until and unless you don't search specifically, you won't be able to see that. So these are some ways. Similarly, you can enter some commands in the terminal, so that you can block your Facebook. Nowadays, although in our younger generation, people don't use Facebook that much. Our older generation, they still use Facebook. But Instagram, this is a very big thing. You have to find a solution for this. I won't tell anyone upfront. If you are a school kid, then you shouldn't have it. But if you are a college student, then this is a packet of chips, and we will feel like eating it. What more can I tell you about this? Okay? If you are a UPSC aspirant, then once I met a UPSC friend of mine, I asked him, what did you do? You used to get bored. You got selected, but you used to get bored. What did you do? He used to watch memes. I asked him, where did you watch memes? He said, he used to watch memes on Instagram. I asked him, don't you get disturbed while studying? He said, Instagram saved me. I used to go crazy while studying. Then at last, I used to watch memes and take myself. But here, you have to understand that everyone has their own control capacity. Someone once asked, what is the definition of truth? It was written somewhere very old, that what works is the truth. Whatever works for you, works for you. Similarly, there is a word, Upanishad. You must have heard of it. In our culture, there is something that was made 5000 years ago, and there is a lot of depth in it. So, the meaning of the word Upanishad is sitting near a teacher, or sitting near a master, sitting near a Guru. So, it is said that a Guru gives you a lesson, and you transform that lesson inside yourself. Right? And real teachers are those who don't just donate information. The main importance of a Guru is to give you a trigger in your life through which your life can be transformed. You should be able to learn something beyond information. Right? So, first, you have to take a vision, and stick that vision everywhere. Write it everywhere. Write it on your notebook, write it on your laptop's wallpaper, write it on your mobile. And it is not that writing will make it work. After the vision, you need your rear tyre, which is the execution, the engineer. And in this, first of all, you have to remove the distractions, remove the hurdles. So, whether you use the 2-3 methods I have told you about on this website, or you delete some applications. Right? Whatever is your truth, whatever works for you, will work for you. And keep reminding yourself that, we are also human. You don't have to discourage yourself, nor do you have to let anyone discourage you that you are useless. If you think that you are useless, then we will become useless. And if you think that whatever was there before was fine, but I am a learner. Whatever was there before, I will become better than that tomorrow. And I will become better the next day. And the version after a year will be even better. So, in fact, you always have to believe that I am not going to be but I have already been. This also helps you many times. Now, you will feel that this is over positivity. And you don't have to confuse this with over positivity. You have to see this as faith. Vivekananda Ji had said that one must have faith in himself. He had also quoted that, you must have faith in God. But, all the thousands and lakhs of Gods in India, you will have faith in all of them. But, if you don't have faith in yourself, then it won't benefit you. You won't be able to take full advantage of it. First on yourself and then on others. Whenever our new day starts, we should have a plan. Just making a to-do list or a schedule is not enough. That alone becomes a vision. Execution is left. And when you start your day, you know that you have to do this and that. Do that work which is more important. Which is the 80-20 principle. 20% work will solve 80% problems in your life. And our 20% work is career first. So, focus on that. First, take out your page and write your vision on it. I think vision is written like this. 10 years is too long. After writing that, what is your plan for the next year? Where do you want to reach in a year? Now, a year's road map is very big. Then, you should plan for the next month. What can I do in the next month? Because it is doable. You will see the result. And then come to 1. What am I going to do in the next month? What is my plan for the next month? What is my plan for the next month? What is my plan for the next month? What is my plan for the next month? What is my plan for the next month? What is my plan for the next month?
