Speaker 1: Change starts here. For more than 60 years, Carlton School of Public Policy and Administration has been producing leaders in public service. Our innovative programs and dedicated faculty provide students with the tools to make a real difference in the world. The SPPA can help turn your passion for big social issues like climate change, sustainable energy, and cultural heritage into a rich and rewarding career. The SPPA

Speaker 2: is great because it helps you get your foot in the door with government but that's not where it stops. Just because you come here, you're not necessarily boxed into the federal government. There's lots of different routes that open up and you're able to really take advantage of that here.

Speaker 3: A lot of people who graduated in my year are that I knew that have gone into government relations work, they're working for trade associations, they've gone into non-profit think tanks. There's a variety of jobs that you can do after this degree.

Speaker 1: Throughout Canada and across the globe, thousands of SPPA alumni currently occupy top government, private sector, and non-profit sector positions and are applying their knowledge and skills to help affect positive change.

Speaker 4: So I provide advice to the vice president of policy and programs at the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. I found that Carlton's multidisciplinary education really equipped me to do that so I worked on veterans affairs issues at the Treasury Board Secretariat. I worked on criminal justice issues at the Privy Council office. I worked on business income tax at the Department of Finance and now I'm working in food inspection. I couldn't imagine doing this without having gone to Carlton.

Speaker 1: The SPPA's Ottawa location affords students the valuable opportunity to live and study in the heart of where Canada's policymaking takes place. Being in the country's capital also allows for easy access to a variety of government departments and NGOs. The SPPA also offers you the opportunity to do one or two co-op work terms with employers in the public sector or in the non-profit and private sectors. At the SPPA, we pride ourselves on offering courses that will challenge and inspire our students. Our unique graduate programs are designed to produce leaders, innovators, and changemakers who will use public policy to make the world a better place. Supporting research centres and initiatives is also a vital part of the SPPA's mandate to facilitate positive change. By working with research centres and institutes, the SPPA is helping to solve problems that affect the whole planet. I feel so

Speaker 5: lucky to be here. I walked on campus the first day and walked into the River Building and I could not believe it. It is beautiful here, so much light. It's just absolutely the most inspiring setting

Speaker 6: to be doing what we're doing. Come for a tour of the School of Public Policy Administration. See for yourself what the school has to offer. I can guarantee that the level of expertise, the level of opportunities offered here at Carleton University would be hard to match by any other institutions. If you're looking for a

Speaker 3: place that's going to challenge you and provide you with a competitive advantage to work in the public service or with the public service, go to Carleton.

Speaker 1: Change starts here and it starts with you.
