Speaker 1: Okay, so big thing happened in AI because now you can access the smartest model in the world for free. Chinese AI platform DeepSeek releases a new thinking model titled R1. This is their direct competitor to OpenAI's O1, which is gated behind a $20 a month paywall. And it's just the smartest model that we have today. Second to only O1 Pro, which is behind a $200 plan. With the difference that this model has been fully open sourced, and they put up a web interface where you, without even logging in, can run 50 messages a day through this model that matches the capabilities of O1. Look at that, DeepSeek is the blue one, OpenAI O1 is the gray one. But I think the most important part here is the fact that they decided to open source this. Meaning if you open any software that runs open source models, like Olama, or what I have here, LM Studio, you can download these models at a size that works on your computer. If you want to match O1 Mini, you want to go to the 32 billion parameter model. And if you do that for the first time, can you run peak intelligence locally, privately.
