Speaker 1: As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. Welcome everyone to the video tutorial on how to troubleshoot a student LMS query by the eLearning unit. As you are aware, teachers are the front line to the students and their queries, and this tutorial will show step-by-step instructions on how to troubleshoot some of the most common errors that students are facing with the LMS. So one of the biggest problems that we are finding is students aren't able to log in. The first and foremost thing you want to do is to make sure the students are using the correct online website for the Q-Skills website LMS. It's iqse.ouponlinepractice.com. Just a note, some students will use Google and search for the online Q-Skills LMS, and they are brought up to the old system, and hence that's why some of them receive error messages. So please, for step one, make sure that they are actually utilizing the correct website address. Another step to check to see if they are actually using the correct email address that they used when they registered for the class. In order to do that, you will log in to your class and click on Manage Classes, and under Class Details, click View Details. Here you will find a list of all the students who have joined your classroom. So you want to verify that they are using the correct email address. Just a note, sometimes students mistype the email address. Type in G-A-M-A-I-L.com instead of Gmail, and if they use that email address, then they have to stick with it or change it once they log in. So again, one way to verify to see that they have no problem to log in is to make sure they are using the email address that they used to register for the class. If a student has a problem with their password, for example here, what they need to do is click on I Forgot My Password, and they will enter the email address. Again, to verify that the email address is used, that they used the email address that they used when they registered for the class by looking at the class details. They click Change Password, and an email will be sent to them with their new password. If they click on Change Password, and their email address is incorrect again, and you verified it, that this is the email address that they used to register, then you need to send an email to Oxford Support, which is ELTSupport at OUP.com, or complete the Oxford LMS Query Form, as you can see over here, where you enter your name, your email address, the campus section, the class code for each reading, writing, and listening and speaking, the student name, email address, and the code books that they have, and the type of problem that they have, and any additional comments. Another issue that you might find is students are unable to see the online tests. For instance, if they don't see an online test, first you need to make sure that they are enrolled in your classroom. Again, go to Manage Classes, and make sure they are under View Details. If you don't see the student there, then students must join the classroom by logging in and clicking Join a Class, and entering the class ID code that you provided for them for each, the listening, speaking class, and the reading, writing class. Again, it starts with the letter C, and it has 10 digits. Another issue could be if the student is already enrolled in your classroom, and they have joined your classroom, you as a teacher must make sure that you have activated the unit test. To do that, click on Activities and Resources, click on the unit or the book, click on Activities, and... Sorry. Sorry about that. I meant to say you click on Manage Classes, and you click on Hide Assigned Content, and remember, the red X means it's hidden from the students, so all you need to do is uncheck, and click Save here at the bottom, and your students will be able to view the test, and you'll get a message saying that assignments have saved successfully. You can do that also for the other book. Here, for example, and click Save. Another problem that you might face is students getting the error code messages. First, you need to make sure, let them know that access codes can only be used once. If students receive an error message saying that the code is incorrect, this is probably because they have already used it. Again, ensure that they're using the correct website, you can make sure that they're using the correct email address, and details, or make sure they're using the correct code from their book. Remember, the student book code is registered first before the class code ID. If you still have further problems, then go ahead and email to Oxford Support, or complete the Oxford LMS Query form, as we showed before. And if a student selects the wrong book, if a student selects the wrong book, then the support needs to be emailed to Oxford Support, or complete the Oxford LMS Query form, as we talked about before, because only Oxford can actually fix those issues. Also, we are aware that some students have problems. They entered the answers correctly, but the system shows it incorrect. Please email the eLearning unit, and we'll try to resolve those issues. And just go over the tutorial. The tutorial is under the Help option here. Once you click on that, you'll get the following page. You'll notice over here, on the top right corner, there's an English and Arabic tab. So, depending on the language, you can select. On the left side, top left corner, click Menu. There's a guide for teachers, as well as students, as well as administrators. And as well as frequent asked questions. In both English, as well as in Arabic. So, please refer to this if you need further instructions on how to utilize the system. Thank you for listening to this tutorial. I hope it's been beneficial. And if you need any further assistance, please don't hesitate to send an email to the eLearning unit at taibalms.gmail.com Thank you, and goodbye.
