[00:00:00] Speaker 1: You might already use Magic Clips in Riverside and maybe even Magic Episode to quickly edit your long-form content. Well now Riverside has added Magic Hooks and Magic Segments helping you repurpose your content in even more ways. Here's how to use all those magic tools in Riverside. Here on the Riverside dashboard go to one of your past projects and then visit the Made For You tab here. You probably already know about the Magic Episode and Magic Clips but if you scroll down you'll now have Magic Hooks where Riverside will create short videos that you can use at the beginning of shorts or your long-form episode and another section called Magic Segments. This is going to create 5 to 10 minute videos of engaging moments of your podcast or other long-form recording that you can upload as full-length videos to your YouTube channel or other platforms. If you ever want to generate those Magic Hooks, Segments, Clips or the full episode go up to the Create button right here and you can generate them all with a single click. Hooks, Segments, Magic Episode and of course Magic Clips. But before you do you might want to personalize it because you can adjust how those Segments, Hooks, Clips and Episodes are edited to save you even more time in the future. To do that next to Magic Episodes, Clips, Hooks or Segments click the Personalize button and here you can adjust what ratio, how you want silences removed, filler words and more every time you generate these clips. So for Magic Clips I tend to like the vertical 9x16 layout. I want Smart Layout which is actually going to switch between the active speaker automatically. I can choose my duration, apply my brand and for remove pauses I like to keep that fast-paced. I might even go to the super fast-paced because that short-form video really benefits from no silences. I also remove filler words and mute people when they're not speaking. Now for Magic Hooks you might want to keep them vertical as well to use them at the beginning of your short-form videos but you can also create hooks that are 16x9 which would be great to still put at the beginning of your full podcast episode before you upload it to YouTube or Spotify. Which did you know you can actually host on Riverside now and publish to YouTube and Spotify automatically? I did a video on that if you want to see it right up here. I still apply my brand and Smart Layouts, remove pauses and then you can choose filler words and more and you get the same settings for Magic Segments. I like to do durations of 5 to 10 minutes for those longer form videos and you can adjust those defaults for Magic Episodes as well. Once you've chosen your personalized settings now it's time to generate. I'll go up and let's create some Magic Segments. You see the settings are applied here. I'll click Generate and after a few moments I'll have a bunch of 5 to 10 minute videos of my long-form content and while that's generating I can go up and do hooks as well. Generate those hooks and Riverside might have automatically generated those hooks for you once you were done recording but you can get even more when you click that Create button. Now here's a project where I have all those generated. Magic Clips, I have a bunch of hooks and I'm generating some more Magic Segments. But let's go into one of the hooks because you can still go in and edit anything that was created using these magic tools. Let's jump into this first hook. Now I can preview this hook. You see it's switching between active speaker and then showing us both on screen. It's edited all the silences and filler words keeping a fast pace. It goes between both me and my co-host and this would be a great little clip to play at the beginning of my episode. I'm actually going to rename this edit Hook 1. Now a great way to utilize these hooks are then to add them into the full episode edit that you have in Riverside. So I'm going to leave this edit for a moment. Now I can jump back into the magic episode edit the full episode or create an edit from scratch and then use this hook as an intro to my full episode. Then here in the editor of my full episode I can click the plus icon here at the beginning of the timeline and then I can pull in other recordings edits and other clips from my dashboard. I'll click edits. Here I can even browse by magic episodes or exported clips but you'll see Hook 1, the one I just renamed, is available right here at the top. You can also search for clips here as well. I'll choose to insert Hook 1 and you'll see that will get added to the beginning of the timeline as an intro for my full episode. It brings in the transcript just like the rest of your recording and another new feature you might not have seen is you can actually add transitions between clips. So I can click add transition, maybe choose the pixelized transition, choose how long that is, and now it's going to go seamlessly from that hook using the transition into the full length episode and you can add those hooks to your magic segments to create great long form video, post more content on your YouTube channel, long form on LinkedIn, and more. So that's how to customize and use magic segments, hooks, clips, and episodes.
