+1 (831) 222-8398[00:00:00] Speaker 1: You can now add customizable shadows to speaker tiles, overlays, and other elements directly inside the Riverside Editor. Shadows are a simple way to add depth to your design. They can help a speaker stand out from the background, make a title easier to read, or give an overlay a more polished look. To add one, select the speaker tile or overlay that you want to customize. So I'll select this left one from my two camera setup here. Then open the shadow controls. This is this icon right here. It says shadow and you hover over it and you have a few different options. From here you can customize exactly how it looks. You have preset one that will put a shadow around the entire image, preset two that does a shadow off to the side, and then preset three that's a little bit closer has more opacity. So there's a few more presets but you can customize even more by changing the color of the shadow. So you could do something that's white. Color changes the color of the shadow. You can use the natural black or choose something that better matches your design. Opacity controls how visible the shadow is. Lower it for a more softer subtle effect or raise it to make the shadow more noticeable. So you can move this up and down. You can see the differences happening right here. Blur changes how sharp or diffused the shadow appears. We can see this going left and right here. Distance controls how far away the shadow is and angle will control which direction it actually goes on the image. You can see this moves around, goes in ways of degrees. So you can do 90, 180, or you can keep it at zero and it'll do the whole image, kind of like this original preset here. But yeah, you can change it to whatever color you want. You can move these around so you can actually see the changes happening to your image. Move the color, change the opacity, make it really intense, blur it as much as you want or give it no blur. Maybe that's the style you're looking for. Give it some distance, give it a different angle, customize it as much as you want. You can use these controls together to create anything from a subtle drop shadow to a much more stylized effect. The same controls that work on your speaker tiles also work on overlays. So you can add a little bit more depth and separation throughout your entire video, especially with the new motion graphics that we just added. In fact, I'll do a quick example of that. So same thing, we're just going to grab our motion graphic. I'm going to put it in the place that I want it. First, I'll put it in center screen, click on that and then come up to the shadow icon on the top. Add the preset if you want to do it that way. Change the opacity. I kind of like it a little bit more heavy and I think that a white color or actually let's lean with something a little bit more red. I think that stands out really nice. Maybe I do a little less blur so it stands out more. Change the distance. I think the angle is actually pretty good. So I'm going to leave it right there and boom, have a motion graphic with a little bit more standout drop shadow in the background to emphasize the graphic a little bit more. I hope you found this quick tip helpful inside the new Riverside Editor. If you have any questions, feel free to leave them in the comments and I'll be happy to answer them personally. Thank you so much for watching and we can't wait to see what you create.
