[00:00:00] Speaker 1: The president is currently meeting with NATO leaders here at Davos, a lot of them who might still be reeling from his speech, his scathing speech, where he excoriated NATO and basically said that while the United States is what is the backbone of NATO, the United States doesn't actually benefit from NATO, only other European countries do. It was those remarks as well where the president was repeatedly talking about his desire for the United States to acquire Greenland, something the president said he didn't want to do by military force, but made clear he certainly wants to do by using any other means necessary. The president, though, during that speech a few times said Iceland instead of Greenland, seeming to mix up the two countries as he was talking about this.

[00:00:39] Speaker 2: When I told them about Iceland, they loved me. They called me daddy, right, last time.

[00:00:46] Speaker 1: We got a lot of reaction coming out of the room after, including from two Democratic governors who were here, California Governor Gavin Newsom, who delivered a blistering response to President Trump's claims that he wants to take over Greenland and use this forum to talk about it with these world leaders. He said he wants those negotiations to start immediately.
