[00:00:00] Speaker 1: Welcome to this changelog video roundup, hosted by me, the Descript Changelog. Spring is in the air, and our team have been busy bees pollinating the product fields with changes based on your feedback, and at least one big thing that might change how you work in Descript forever. Here we go. Number one, we completely rebuilt our color adjustment tools, preloaded into the properties panel for easier access, and comes with new filter presets to help you get started. There's also a white balance eyedropper for easy color cast correction, and under the hood we've recalibrated the sliders to be more accurate. Number two, the Descript API is now in open beta. Don't know what an API is? Me neither, but my script says it lets you connect Descript to your favorite tools to import files, create projects, and edit all without ever opening the app. You can do anything Underlord can do, adding studio sound, captions, translation, the list is endless. There's so many ways to use it, including connecting to Cloud and other GPTs for fully automated workflows. Check out the detailed guides in the Help Center for more. Number three, here's a bunch of smaller updates to put a spring in your step. Uploads now auto resume with your Wi-Fi drops, your laptop goes to sleep, and we're starting from scratch. You can now export all the scenes of your project at once as separate files. How convenient. Your Drive media and brand studio assets are now in the media sidebar while you're editing, so you don't have to leave your project to find them. Nice. And Underlord can now link you to specific time stamps, markers, scenes, or time ranges. Getting organized information about your project is smoother than ever. Number four, the recorder team spent four weeks straight on bug fixes and backend improvements. Recovery success rates are way up, we've reduced crashes, and fixed common issues with audio in rooms. There's also new warnings and improved recovery options. Recording and description feel substantially more reliable. Number five, here's all the other bugs we fixed. No shade to any of the other teams that fixed less bugs. It's not a contest yet. Speaking of which, Descript is hosting a telethon. We're gonna spend two days going through your feedback and fixing the biggest small problems you have in Descript. Now's your time to let us know, what do you need? That's all the updates we have in this video, but you can check out the link in the description for more. I've been the Descript Changelog, and I'll see you next time.
