Effortless Transcription with Philips SpeechLive: Dictate Anywhere, Anytime (Full Transcript)

Speaker 1: Hi, it's Russell from Voice Recognition Australia. I wanted to quickly show you a new package and a new capability we've got, which is an automatic transcription system using your phone. All you're going to do is use the Philips SpeechLive phone app, dictate directly into the app. This is our subscription service, it's quite inexpensive, and then it will send the audio directly through to your Windows computer, whether it's in your office or your own office, transcribe it by drag and automatically, and show you the text for your review and edit. So I'll dictate directly into it now. Here's the app, loaded, hit the record button. Simply speak into your smartphone, full stop. Text appears on a Windows computer ready for review and editing, which can be completed by you or support staff, full stop. A very handy and useful capability for those who wish to dictate from anywhere, but do not wish to type or pay for expensive typing services, full stop. I've made the recording, I will hit the send button here, and that's straight into the SpeechLive system. It's gone. Now if I go to SpeechLive back at base, as it were, pretend I'm back in my office, and here it comes, there it is. It's come through automatically via SpeechLive cloud within, what, three seconds. Dragon has grabbed it, you can see it down the bottom, it is transcribing it. Normally you could run multiple audio recordings through it while you're away, you come back, they'd be finished, but because I've just done it, Dragon is processing the recording, it will probably take it about 10 seconds. It's now finished the document, you can see a little word image and a speech recognition completion image, double click. Now someone else can do this, or you can just do it yourself. Simply speak into your smartphone, full stop. Text appears in an application called SpeechLive, full stop, that allows me to dictate into my phone securely from anywhere on earth that has a data connection, full stop. That audio will be instantly aware, but do not wish to type or pay for expensive typing services, full stop. How easy is that? I had to make one correction. Now I can copy that and paste that, I can save this when I hit finish as a Word document. I can just copy the contents, the clipboard, whatever you want, you can paste it into your Leap program, if you're a lawyer or email, Word document, doesn't matter. I'll open up a Word doc, so it's finished and paste it in. That's it. So from my phone into text with one minor correction, literally within about 30 seconds.
