Speaker 1: But we should be back now, hopefully you can all hear us. If anyone can't, please let us know in the chat. Real quick recap, we're gonna be going over five different ways that you can make more captivating videos using some tools and features from within the Captions app. And we have a very big announcement today that we're gonna be sharing at the end, so please make sure you stay tuned. You're not gonna wanna miss it, you've all been asking for it, stay tuned. All right, let's jump in. First up, please update your app. We release at least one App Store update per week, so updating your app and making sure you have auto-updates on will ensure you've always got the latest features. All right, take it away, Eli.

Speaker 2: Okay, awesome. So I created a video a couple of minutes ago, we're gonna watch it, it's a office tour of me here in our New York office, so it's 28 seconds, let's give it a watch. Hey everybody, my name's Eli, I'm gonna take you on a quick tour of our office. Over here is our kitchen. We've got a beautiful conference room here, 104. Here's a quick look outside. No office is complete without a snack wall. And maybe the best feature is this conference room. All right, I will admit, I'm not nearly as great as a content creator as most of you watching, but this is also to prove a point. But that wasn't that engaging, was it, Laura? No, you kinda lost me. Okay. Let's fix it.

Speaker 1: Let's fix it, exactly.

Speaker 2: So basically anyone can be a content creator as long as you've got your raw video and a couple of tools up your sleeve with captions. So first up, you can adjust your captions. If you didn't know, you can move them around. We actually released a new update that wherever you put your captions, if you move between different scales, between vertical and horizontal, it'll always stay in the same position. So if you go on the bottom left here on vertical and then actually tap on scale for horizontal, it will stay in the bottom left corner even when it's on horizontal, which is awesome. So first thing, I'm going to rearrange my captions. So first thing, I'm going to rearrange where the captions are. If you didn't know, people often ask us, you'd be surprised, how do I change the font size? You can actually just use two fingers to pinch in and out. And this yellow box will let you know when you're getting a little bit too big and you want a little bit of a safe zone here. So I'm going to, yeah, that looks good to me. And then you can take a look at styles, of course. You can look through some of our presets and you can change it to whatever you'd like. So I'm going to make this one, I like serious, and I'm going to tap on edit. You can change the words per line, words per line per page. You can change the font alignment, all sorts of stuff you can do here. We've gone over this stuff before, but if you didn't notice, we do have two new features, auto movement and auto scale. So I am going to turn that on. I'm going to put that on on just a light rotation here just to show you how it works. Okay, so once you've done your style, you can also tap on color and you change your text color to whatever you'd like. And in fact, there's a little dropper at the top left. So if you want to match what color you'd like to use, you can actually choose it from the particular page, which is really cool. So you can say, all right, I want to match this with my blueprint color. And then there you go. It matches the blue there as well. So the background color, I'm going to change to something a little different. Okay, this is kind of fun. And then you can tap close. So let's see how that looks. Okay, definitely a first time option for me. Okay, after you've done style and color, as I mentioned, you can change your scale if you'd like to horizontal. As you can see, captions were kept where they were supposed to. You can change it to fit to make sure everything fits in. You can also tap on auto if you'd like to have it smartly zoom in in the area you'd like. Okay, we'll make this a little bit smaller. Okay, looking good. So the next real feature we're gonna talk about is spotlight, which I'm gonna tap on here. And if you've been with us for a couple of months, you'll notice this got a rename. This used to be called AI emphasis, but now there's multiple types of ways to highlight it. So we chose AI spotlight as the option. So you can see automatically off the bat, the color changed here. And that's because you can change and automatically add an underline, an emphasis or a supersize to a noun, keyword or pictorial word. So I'm gonna turn this on and immediately you can look through and see that I've got an underline, I've got a color change here, definitely more engaging there.

Speaker 1: Awesome. Really brings you to like the word that you wanna have stand out in your captions, which is great. Exactly. You can really follow along. Okay, great. Well, now let's create an easy title. I think this is a really great way that you can help your video immediately stand out the moment it starts and really help your viewers understand what your video is gonna be about. So let's add that in.

Speaker 2: Okay. So very simple. Look for intro and tab it. And from here, you can change the text if you like. Tour of our office with Eli. Well, let's add an exclamation point. Why not? You can choose the different styles. That one's cool. We've got diagonal. I think I'm gonna, I like that one, I think. That one's fun. Yeah, let's go back to diagonal. I like that. All right, let's see how that looks. Hey, everybody. My name's Eli. I'm gonna take you on a quick tour of our office. Okay, so you'll notice something there. As the title was being spoken, the actual spoken words in the captions were hidden, which we changed recently. A few people have been asking about it. If you do need to override it and you do wanna see those words as well, just tap in and then move to visibility and you can unhide the spoken word during that time. So that's the question that comes up. You can also, just like the captions, you can move these around. You can change the size. Hey, everybody. My name's Eli. I'm gonna take you on a quick tour of our office. And we'll get it from the beginning. Hey, everybody. My name's Eli. Nice and easy. I think we covered everything here, but we have 19 styles. We've got more coming soon, but this is a really great way to start your video off with Bing.

Speaker 1: Absolutely. All right, let's move into AI Trim. Everyone knows, as I kind of said at the beginning, what a short attention span our viewers have, especially when you're scrolling on socials like TikTok or Instagram. We're kind of just swiping up to the next video if the pace is enough and if we're not engaged enough. So this next feature is gonna help remove all of your pauses, ums, and ahs immediately using AI to ensure that your video stays nice and succinct and your audience will stay engaged.

Speaker 2: Okay, we'll tap right on Trim. That were kitchen. That were kitchen. And we're gonna get a preview. Sorry if you're having trouble hearing. We can't hear what's happening here, but you can hear both the phone and us right now, so apologies. That were kitchen. Okay, we'll trim. Over here is our kitchen. Over here is our kitchen. You can also disable this, and you can change this by tapping Preview On. Over here is our kitchen. Over here, one of four. Here's a quick look. Okay, let's trim everything. Why not? Okay, so the original video was 28 seconds, and now we're down to 16. We cut off quite a bit of time here, which will help with your engagement factor. So we won't do a whole replay just yet. We'll wait to the end to loop everything together, but AI Trim, super easy to do, and we do most of the hard lifting for you. However, if you do wanna add a trim yourself that we didn't catch, just tap on Edit with Captions, scroll to the area that you'd like to change. So let's say we wanna cut just a little bit more off here. So you can tap, split, apply, and then you've got this little in-between area that you can delete if you want. That's how you can manually trim.

Speaker 1: Awesome. All right, well, now that we've trimmed our video, I think we should cover how to add in transitions. I think a really great reason to use transitions is to express that you're changing topics. The nice visual will keep your viewers engaged. It also really works well if you have a lot of cuts between clips, and it just kind of makes your video a little bit more graceful and feels like it was all put together and done purposely. And a quick shout out. This was actually requested by one of our Discord members. Shout out to Lex Lutron if you're watching. Thank you for requesting that we cover transitions. Also a great segue, or should I say transition, to remind you that you can request what we cover in our live streams if you have any suggestions for us. I'll go ahead and drop that request form in the live chat now, and it's also in the video description. So feel free to request if you want us to cover a specific tool or feature. All right, Eli, walk us through transitions.

Speaker 2: Okay, recap. Tap on edit with captions, and then tap on this timeline area. A lot of people don't even know you can tap right there. So that's a reminder. So you can actually see that I have one transition point already added. This is because when I recorded this video, I recorded with Captions Camera, and I did multiple takes. So if you hit record, start and stop, or you import multiple clips, we'll automatically add a transition point. But as I showed you before, you can just tap here, tap on split, and apply. You don't need to delete the clip. You can actually just tap right there and choose one of our transitions. So that's one of our transitions. I'm gonna just add a few more just to show you what they look like. Fairly easy. And I think we had, oh, let's add our own here. One more. Okay, let's watch this through. Eli, I'm gonna take you on a quick tour of our office. Over here is our kitchen. We've got a beautiful conference room here. Okay, it's- So fun, I love it. It's that easy. And if you wanna remove it, you can simply tap right on it and remove it. Nice.

Speaker 1: Cool. All right. I think we're up to our last feature now, which is another really great one, AI Zoom. With captions, all you have to do is tap one button and we will do the rest for you and find key places to zoom in and help you garner a little bit more engagement in your video.

Speaker 2: Awesome. So it's as simple as tapping on zoom. It'll take a few seconds. Basically, captions will automatically add zoom points to your video. We'll try to zoom in on faces by default. It's the first face detected in each frame and more customized options are coming. A lot of people ask, can I zoom in on this one particular part of the video? Can I zoom on a particular word? Right now you can't, but we are working on those improvements. So you can view our existing zoom. So we've got zero, which is no zoom. One is a little zoom and two is the most zoom. So as I trans- Let's see what this looks like. My name's Eli. I'm gonna take you on a- Okay, that's one zoom. Then we're gonna go from one to two, back to zero. So that's an important note. Once you're on a two level zoom, you do need to add a zero zoom to get back to no zoom. But if you're unhappy with any of the particular zooms that were added, you can delete them or you can delete all and simply add your own by tapping on add. So this one, we're gonna do an instant zoom. This is kind of the most aggressive zoom you can do. Right there. Looked pretty good. Yeah. And just as a reminder, we have those different zoom options. You can edit them. We've got linear, ease and instant. Those are the three types of zooms we have.

Speaker 1: Awesome. All right. Well, we've now added in AI spotlight, intro, trim, transitions and AI zoom. And I think we've made a much more engaging video ready for posting. Should we watch it from start to finish?

Speaker 2: Yeah, let's do it.

Speaker 1: Hey, everybody.

Speaker 2: My name's Eli. I'm gonna take you on a quick tour of our office. Over here is our kitchen. We've got a beautiful conference room here. Here's a quick look outside. No office is complete without a snack wall. And maybe the best feature. Much, much better. So much better. And there's plenty more options to choose from. You can add AI images, you can add AI contact, emojis is super easy. There's tons of options here. So as we mentioned, those are the top five that we recommend, but you can also add a myriad of other options here, including music, denoise, voiceover. We only covered about a third of all the options you can add. All right. I think that brings us to the end of this video.

Speaker 1: Thank you so much for watching. And we'll see you next time. Bye.
