+1 (831) 222-8398Speaker 1: Hi, I'm Rozing, a support engineer from the Blackmagic Design Singapore office. In this video, I'll be showing you how to generate transcripts from your clips and use it to quickly assemble and edit. DaVinci Resolve Studio 18.5 comes with a powerful audio transcription function that uses AI to automatically generate a transcript for the selected clip. You can then use that transcript to search for keywords, create subclips, and even edit directly into the timeline. Right now, 14 languages are supported, including Chinese, English, Korean, and many more. Let's take a look at how this is done. I have a project with 4 interview clips. Instead of playing back each clip to hear its answers, I can simply select all the clips, right-click, and choose Audio Transcription, Transcribe. The DaVinci Neural Engine will analyze the selected clips and generate the transcript. When the analysis is done, the generated transcripts will appear in a separate dialog window. This is where I can search for specific keywords, edit any mistakes, and export the transcript as a text file. More importantly, this allows me to quickly look through the transcript, select the section I want, and edit it into the timeline. When a section of the text is selected, the corresponding range is marked in the Source Viewer. I can then insert it into the timeline. Options to append the clip to the end of the timeline or create a subclip are also available. Let me edit a few more sentences into the timeline. It is as simple as selecting the portion I want, then clicking on Append or Insert. With the edit done, I can use the same AI engine to generate subtitles for my timeline. This can be done by going to the Timeline menu, then selecting Create Subtitles from Audio. A dialog window that allows me to choose the language and other subtitle settings will appear. After making the appropriate selections, I just need to click on Create. If necessary, the subtitles can be edited or adjusted. I hope this video has been helpful in showing you how to transcribe audio for your clips, use that transcript for editing, and also create subtitles for your finished timeline.
