+1 (831) 222-8398[00:00:00] Speaker 1: So for the past several years, stars on the red carpet have been obsessed with wearing vintage or the most outrageous outfits. And the question has been, well, what does it mean to look like a glamorous movie star today? There were four stars on Sunday's Golden Globes carpet who I felt really embodied a very contemporary and present day sense of what it means to look glamorous. So the first is Tessa Thompson, who was wearing this dress by Balenciaga, had these fishtail scales and, again, this warm chartreuse color that really made it look different and new and risk-taking. Another person who really stood out on Sunday's red carpet was Ayo Edebiri, who was wearing a dress by Chanel. Now, Ayo's dress is interesting almost because it's not interesting. It's a very plain black dress. It's almost too understated for the red carpet. And I think that's such a powerful statement that's bigger than the red carpet itself. We saw Jennifer Lawrence wearing a Givenchy naked dress. But this was a really interesting statement for her because she spent the past several months wearing these incredibly tasteful, very chic, cool Tribeca mom ensembles. And so for her to wear something that is so revealing is empowering. She's saying, I'm wearing this dress. I don't care what you think of me. This is how I feel confident and hot tonight. And no one looked as incredible as Teyana Taylor. She was wearing a Scott Borelli haute couture dress. The black satin fabric of this dress wound around her almost like a hypnotized serpent. It did not look remotely vulgar, but it also didn't look like a 1950s conservative throwback dress. It looked completely contemporary, completely new. And for the first time, I thought, we are seeing what a movie star looks like in 2026.
