Speaker 1: how to use one of the best text-to-audio services available for free. So I've been wanting to put some of my information from this site into audio format so it can go up in different videos, it can go on Spotify, other audio based platforms, and I thought I would use Google Cloud. So Google Cloud, they have a very comprehensive AI product called Vertex AI as well as Gemini 1.5. And you can access all of these pretty much for free, at least starting out. On Google Cloud, you can create an account, you can just put in your information, and you'll get $300 in cloud credits to use over your first 90 days of using the platform. Now that may not sound like a lot, but this is a enterprise-based model, and so the amount you actually use is super, super small. I've been using this instance for about a week, and I've used about $2.50 of the $300 credits. So once you create your account, what you'll want to do, this is kind of what the dashboard will look like, you'll be able to go through, you can check all their different products, they have truly hundreds and hundreds of things. But you'll want to go up to the menu, you'll want to go into Vertex AI, and you'll want to go to speech. Now if you wanted to use the standard voice-to-text model, or sorry, the standard text-to-voice model, you would input your text here, up to 200 characters, you'd pick the voice of their three options, and you'd be able to synthesize it. It works okay, it's not amazing. It's very stilted, it's very synthetic, very obvious that it's an AI. However, they do have a new experimental API console, which you can come over here and click Try Now, and you'll go on the left-hand side of their speech bracket, you'll go down to synthesize in the text-to-speech window. This one is primarily a speech-to-text for transcription services. However, this one right here, under Preview, gives you some really wonderful options. I already have this set up under a new tab, where I just copied a blog post from this website, right here, and I input it into the text box, like so. I went in and I selected English. I selected the Journey-D experimental voice model. These four right here, arguably, are some of the best that they have available. You're able to select the region in which is produced, the audio encoding format, the speed, pitch, and volume gain. You can also select your sample rate. So, if you needed something higher quality, you can set that here, or if you needed something to sound more like a fake recording, then you put it in the, you know, the 8,000, 10,000 range, and then it sounds like a voicemail box. But, you then click Synthesize. This takes just a couple seconds, and it sounds a little something like this.
Speaker 2: Metricool, a social media management tool. Do you ever feel like the managing of multiple social media accounts can be overwhelming? That's where social media management tools can help you out. These platforms consolidate various accounts into one dashboard. Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, etc. This means you can schedule posts, track engagement, and analyze performance all in one place from a single site.
Speaker 1: So, as you can see, that sounds pretty darn good. I'll include the full recording there at the end. You can download this, and it will just stack up in there, but you can make all sorts of adjustments. Let's switch to their casual K model, and I'm going to set these back to standard 1, 0, and 0, and we're going to click Synthesize, and I won't change this. You can watch it in real time. It'll synthesize, and then it's done, and this is a one-minute recording.
Speaker 3: This is what it sounds like. Metricool, a social media management tool. Do you ever feel like the managing of multiple social media accounts can be overwhelming? That's where social media management tools can help you out.
Speaker 1: So, it sounds a little inconsistent. You can always fix that in post. I like when they speak a little bit faster and slightly pitched up, and I will then synthesize that, and this one dropped it to 52 seconds.
Speaker 3: Metricool, a social media management tool. Do you ever feel like the managing of multiple social media accounts can be overwhelming?
Speaker 1: So, again, it starts to speed up. It may not sound excellent, but you can fine-tune as needed. One of their other great options for a woman's voice is, I think, Journey F, and we'll synthesize and give that a listen. Again, in real time, it takes seconds, and it produces wonderful, wonderful results.
Speaker 4: Metricool, a social media management tool. Do you ever feel like the managing of multiple social media accounts can be overwhelming?
Speaker 1: All right, not bad, and then I think maybe Journey O is the next one. We're going to set the pitch back to zero, speed back to one, and synthesize.
Speaker 5: Metricool, a social media management tool. Do you ever feel like the managing of multiple social media accounts can be overwhelming?
Speaker 1: And so that's pretty amazing. Now, say I wanted to synthesize this without using an extra editor to, like, change just the sound, the voice, maybe sound like a voicemail recording. I'll just put 8,000 in here, synthesize, and this will alter the quality, really compress it, make it sound far more narrow, and you can get some really interesting results with this. As soon as it finishes, we will give it a listen. Metricool, a social media management tool. Do you ever feel like the managing of multiple social media accounts can be overwhelming? And that sounds a bit like, you know, any type of standard pre-recorded message. So you have truly amazing options here, and it's all in here for free, and you just, it will not go through that many credits within those 90 days, unless you're producing gargantuan amounts of content. So far, I think the most I've put through here is 1,200 characters, and that produced, I think, about two and a half minutes. So far, I haven't hit a cap. You may, I'm not sure, but this is a truly, truly wonderful tool that you can set up for free, and you can get an extreme amount of usability out of this. So give it a try. It is well worth the effort, and you can try some really cool options in here. Plus, you have access to the entire Google Cloud Library, which is very, very, very extensive. So give it a try.
