+1 (831) 222-8398[00:00:00] Speaker 1: Do you edit videos like me and feel like your entire life is being consumed by your laptop? You spend hours editing and somehow by the end of the day you only have one to two clips. But have you stopped to think maybe the old way of editing is dying? Because today I'm going to compare the traditional way in editing to now the new way of AI video editing. Okay let's say I have the podcast, an interview or a long format video but I don't want to sit through two hours of footage trying to find the clips that might perform well. Instead I'm going to kill two birds with one stone. First I'm going to head over to the HappyScribe website and upload the video. You can either upload this directly from your device or just paste a link. Then you've got to choose your subtitle language depending on the audience you have. And let me be honest with you, this alone saves me hours. So now your subtitles are generated, this is where it gets quite fun. You can customise the font, the colour, positioning, outline, subtitle timing and even adjust the waveform and text duration. So instead of generic subtitles your clips actually match the style and vibe of your content. But now we're going to hit the next problem. I still don't want to sit through the whole video trying to look for viral moments. So this is where AI tools will come in. All you have to do is head over to the chat feature and ask find the best clips in this video that are most likely to perform well on social media. And just like that it gives me timestamps, clip ideas and explanations why the moments would perform so well. Which honestly is kind of ridiculous how much time you're saving compared to the old workflow. And now I've got the subtitles, the clips and even the timestamps. But there's still one thing missing, the caption. So again I asked the AI tool to generate a social media description and it does exactly that, hashtags even included. So now I've got translated subtitles, viral clip ideas, timestamps and even a description. All of that done in a fraction of time of what it would have cost me to do manually. Now obviously this brings up the question, will AI replace editors? Well as of right now, no not completely. Because storytelling still needs that human eye. AI can't fully replace creativity, pacing, emotion and even vision. But on the other hand AI should definitely become part of your editing workflow. And those editors that learn how to use AI will start editing a lot quicker. And those that don't learn it and reject AI will start to fall behind. So instead of fighting AI, learn how to use it to your advantage.
