Use Chat for quick back-and-forth, Channels with Post Layout for announcements, and Channels with Threads Layout for more organized ongoing discussion. To start, create a new channel. Select Shared Channel so you can invite people outside the team. Threads Layout is selected by default. Once created, pin the channel for quick access. Then send a welcome message and mention the channel, letting members know it's available. You can switch layouts anytime, even for existing channels, without losing messages. Choose between a Post and a Threads layout. In Post Layout, replies are grouped under each post with the latest ones visible. In Threads Layout, the conversation stays in chronological order and replies open in a side pane, keeping the context and the discussion organized. Threads make collaboration more efficient and focused.
