Speaker 1: Let's say you would like to add subtitles to your video and automatically translate them to other languages. Hello everyone, my name is Tim. In this video I'll teach you how you can do this on your own videos, so let's get started. In this video I'll show you how to import your video to VEED, how to automatically add subtitles to your video, how to translate your subtitles to a different language, how to add multiple languages to your video, how to download your subtitles separately, how to customize the style of your subtitles, and finally how to export your video with translated subtitles. In this example we're going to use a simple online video editor called VEED. Simply type VEED.io in your browser to go to the website. You can create an account for free, or click on the first link in the description to instantly get started. Once you're on the homepage, click on upload your video, then click on upload a file, select your video clip, and click on open. Now your video should be imported. Once your video is imported you can automatically add subtitles to your video. To make this happen, simply find subtitles in the left menu, then choose auto transcribe, select the language you're speaking in your video, in this case it's English, and then click on start. After a short moment your video will have subtitles in the language spoken in the video. Before I fully translate the subtitles to another language, I'm going to do a quick grammar and timeline check to see if everything's in place. Simply change the words in the text boxes on the left hand side like so, and click, drag, extend, and shorten the subtitle bars on the bottom timeline to your preference. Okay cool, so now we're ready to translate the subtitles to another language. To make this happen, simply hop over to translate in the menu, click on add new language, select translate from original, then click on next. After that you can choose over a hundred languages you can translate your subtitles to. In this example, I will choose my native language which is Dutch. Click on the translate to Dutch button, and now VEED added an extra translation layer for your subtitles, which in this case translated subtitles to Dutch. Once again, feel free to edit your translated subtitles by hovering back to the subtitle section in the menu. You can once again change all the words and timeline positions if you'd like to. Something that's pretty cool is that VEED offers the user to add multiple layers of translations in one project. To translate your subtitles to more languages, again hover over to translate in the menu, and click on add new language. Simply choose the language you'd like to translate it to, and voila, another translation layer is added. To toggle through the translated subtitles, simply click on the eye icons on the left side of the layers. This way you can easily go back and forth to your preferred translations to edit them. The cool thing about VEED is that you can separately download all of your translated subtitles to your device. Simply hover over to options in the menu, and under download subtitles, select your preferred format. After that, click on the download button on the right to download all of your translated subtitles. When you open the zip file on your device, you'll see all of your subtitles in multiple languages separately. This could be quite helpful if you want to upload your SRT files to any of your YouTube videos, so you keep your translations or your translated subtitles in your video separate. On the other hand, if you would like to burn the subtitles into the video, customizing the style of the subtitles might come in handy before exporting it. Simply hop over to styles in the menu, and easily change the font, size, colors, background, spacing, position, and much more. If you're satisfied and you would like to download the video with your translated subtitles, find the export button on the right top corner, make sure burn subtitles is enabled, and click on export video. After your video is rendered, click on the download mp4 button to download it straight to your computer. To download the video in one of the other languages, simply go back to the project by clicking on edit video. Once you're in the project, click on subtitles in the left menu, hop over to translate, select the preferred language by clicking on the eye icon, and then you simply export the video again. And again, once it's rendered, click on the download mp4 button to download the video straight to your device. And that's it for this video.
