Speaker 1: Hey guys, Teghan Mishra with a video for you guys. In today's video, I'm going to show you how to automatically get your audio voice message on your message app to be transcribed. So it's a feature on iOS 17 which you can pretty much see if you go and message someone right. Let's go ahead and message someone and we're gonna send them an audio message and see that it automatically will get subscribed. So how does that happen? So you click on audio here. So as you can see here this is a test of the audio transcription. If I stop that and I send it to them right it will happen this the audio will get as you'll see here transcribed. Now how does this happen? Well it's automatic feature and only works for a couple things here is that you have to be on iOS 17. They have to be on iOS 17 and also the language is currently supported on English. So if you go into your settings here right first thing is make sure in your setting general software update your update to iOS 17. If you're not you can go updated if you have iPhone XR, XS or XS Max or later or if you have iPhone SE 2nd generation or later. The other option that you'll need to know is that if you go into your settings for your phone here under general and then you go to your language and region you have to be again have it as English setup here preferably as a language so that it works. If you don't it won't work and then the other thing you also want to check out under your settings here for Siri and search here same exact thing the language you want to select to be English as well. Currently that's the only supported language that we know. Maybe Apple will add more languages in the future but at the time of recording and the release of the official iOS 17 that is the only supported version and as you can see here it is how it's done. Now the one thing I noticed here I know some users have asked how can we turn that off. So there really isn't a way to toggle that off yet and not really sure why Apple didn't do that. I try to look for different workarounds there might be some things you can do that might work or might not but there is an official way to kind of go ahead and turn it off even if you go into your settings under messages as you'll see there isn't an option to just turn that automatic audio message transcription off yet. Now we can request that by going to Apple support and I know a lot of users have requested that there's a feature for it so we'll see if there is a feature that comes out and we will let you guys know as soon as we see that feature available. So if you haven't hit that like and subscribe button for future updates and tips and tricks on your iPhone make sure you do that. Thanks for watching guys see you guys next time.
