Speaker 1: Hey, hello, how are you? Well, in this video I'm going to show you how we are going to convert what are audios or videos to text format. It is very common that suddenly, well, in an interview or a conference, you want to extract all the text, but sometimes, well, the videos are very long and sometimes it is a little tiring to be doing all the complete extraction. What I'm going to ask you is that, well, you already have the audio in video format or that you already have the video ready. You can find on YouTube many ways of how to do it, that you can convert audio to video and there are many ways of how you can use many programs. I regularly use what is a program called Sony Vegas, in which, well, I convert directly what is that audio format to video format. For me, in my experience, what I have seen that is better close to a translation into text, then I use what is YouTube itself. So I'm going to show you a video that I already uploaded previously here on my YouTube channel, which, well, is a video that lasted approximately about 8 minutes. It is 8 minutes in which I am talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking. So, well, the first thing I did was that I already uploaded this video directly to my YouTube channel. So what you can do is that you can record in video format on your cell phone, upload it to YouTube, or if you already have the MP3, well, you have to convert it to video format with many programs that exist. But what we want, remember, is not to have a lot of content, it is not that we want to have a video, but what we want directly is to have a text. So I'm going to go directly here to my channel, within what is my own, my own platform, my own channel, and in the part down here I'm going to go to the classic version. In the classic version, the new version also comes, but I want the classic version. Here comes an option that says subtitles, you're going to click here, and look very well what you're going to do. Here you are going to hear the video, look, I'm going to let it run for a second.

Speaker 2: A nice, commas, way to pass the time.

Speaker 1: Ok, there it is, if I go ahead.

Speaker 2: One, eighty-one, twenty-four, ten, eighty-one, ninety-six. Ok, then.

Speaker 1: You upload the video and leave it approximately about fifteen, twenty minutes, and then you're going to enter this section called subtitles, just like I taught you a little while ago. You're going to click here where it says Spanish, and look well what's going to happen. Here comes the full transcription of what the video itself is. So here comes all the text. YouTube alone was browsing through your own video and extracted all the text. You're going to click here where it says download SRT. You download it in SRT. So I'm going to save it here directly here on my computer, the SRT. And look well what we're going to do. Now we're going to take this text, this video, and we're going to extract it in a text sheet. So I'm going to click here. You're probably going to ask me if I want to open it with one or the other. I'm going to say that I want to open it directly with one or the other. I don't want to open it directly with the note block. There's no problem. And look, this is how it's going to look. You're going to see it, but it's going to look with the time lines. So let's do the following. Once you have it saved here, the SRT, you have it in your computer, we're going to go to this page called subtitled tools. Subtitled tools, diagonal, convert subtitles. And here comes the full direction. I'm going to leave it here on the internet page itself. And we're going to click here to be able to extract what is the file we saved. It's called captions. We're going to click here on extract video. And it's going to extract directly what is a file called caption.txt. It's not called SRT anymore, it's called caption.txt. I'm going to save it again. So here it's called captions. Now, if I click here, you can see how the text looks. Look, I've already removed all the time lines. But there's also a small, slight, big problem. Now I'll leave you what these white lines are. So what I do is I select them all. I copy it. And now I go into this page called Paint Tools. In Paint Tools, there is what exists to delete empty lines. What I do is I paste it. And I put here that I want to delete all those lines. I put delete. And look, I already left it just like that. So now what I do is I select everything. Copy. And now I can use it. I can send it to any of my other programs. For example, if I want to put it in Word. Well, I put that I want to edit a new Word sheet. And then here I paste what the text itself is. There is no program that delineates the dots, the commas, the paragraphs exactly. But here in Microsoft Word, you're going to be able to edit what the text itself is. You're going to be able to put the accents. You're going to be able to change what the lines are, the blood, the bullets, etc. So this is going to be a very good way. This is going to be a way of how you're going to be able to use it. If you look, the first thing we did was that we extracted it from here from my own video on YouTube. YouTube took care of making the conversion. And directly, well, you can already download it in SRT. Remember, you're going to give it here in actions. You download SRT. And then, well, you're going to upload the video directly to this page. Where the page is going to remove all the text, the time lines. And then you're just going to delete the empty lines. Since you have it, the empty lines. Now here in Word, you're going to be able to edit it. You know, any question, any doubt you have, send me a little message. And with great pleasure, I'm here to support you.
