Speaker 1: In this video, I'm going to be showing you how to make an employee training video and we're doing this for three reasons. We're going to be saving you a lot of time, we're going to make sure your employees, whether new or current, get the best training possible every single time and we're going to stop those repetitive questions. And after you finish this tutorial, you'll then know how to create training videos so you can build up your own library, therefore freeing up a lot of your time because you'll no longer have to spend hours teaching and onboarding new employees. And the best part is I'm going to be showing you how to make a training video using one simple tool, which is VEED.io. There are five steps to go into this process and with that being said, let's get started with the first step. Step one, outline your content. When creating a video of any kind, preparation is key. Now, some people like to create storyboards, but I feel like that's overkill when creating a training video. All we need to do is list out each step of the process that we're going to cover in our training video. And now, I like to think of each step as an individual chapter or an individual scene and this is going to be very important and I'll show you later on in the video why. As well as listing out each step as a bullet point, for each bullet point, I like to add sub-bullet points to make sure I don't miss a single thing when covering each step. Step two is recording your video and video could mean recording your webcam, it could mean your screen or it could mean both at the same time. And we're going to be using one tool to do this and the link is going to be in the description down below. So, as you can see, I'm on VEED's recorder right now and we've got a few different options. I can choose the camera only, I can choose the screen, I can choose screen and camera. And right now, all I want you to focus on is the first scene to your training video and I'll tell you why in a second. So, I'm going to choose camera right here and now, as you can see, VEED is capturing my webcam. And so, all I have to do right here is click on start recording. Remember, we're only going to record our first scene. So, if I click, I have a three-second countdown. Hey everyone, Alec. So, I finished recording and I'm just going to click stop right now. And as you can see, we can now preview it. Hey everyone, Alec here and in this video today, I'm going to be showing you. And this is our first scene. And if you made a mistake, you can go ahead and click delete and restart. But if you did it correctly, now we're going to move on to the second scene. So, to do that, we're going to click on this little plus icon to the right-hand side of our preview window and we've got this little scenes menu that opens up. And now, as you can see, we've got our first scene and we want to click on a new scene, just like this. And now, I'm taken back into the recorder where I'm going to record the second step to my training video. And this time, I want to share my screen. To share my screen, at the bottom right here, all I'm going to do is click on the screen button and then I'm going to select a specific window that I want to share, click share. And as you can see now, I am sharing my screen and I can also see myself on the webcam right here. And just in case this little box is in the way of the screen that you're trying to share, don't worry, the screen and the webcam are recorded as two individual pieces of media so you can go ahead and delete it or remove it later. Here, I can record my second chapter. And again, just to do that, I'm going to click on start recording right here. Again, once I'm done recording, I just click stop. And if I open up the scenes menu again, I can now preview that I've got my first two scenes. To add my third chapter, I can go and click on new scene. And this time, I don't want to share my screen. So, I'm going to click cancel on the screen sharing prompt. But again, like I mentioned, I'm just going to quickly record my webcam. So, let's do it. Okay, so I've recorded all three steps to my video. If you have more steps, you can go ahead and add more scenes, obviously. Once I'm done, if I don't want to add anything else to it, I can just go and click on finish recording. But if I want to take this training video up a notch, we're going to edit it. Step three, editing your video. So, once I finish recording, I'm just going to click on edit. And now, we're taken into Veed's editor and we can actually see all of our media. So, as you can see, I've got my first scene as the first clip here. The second chapter here, we actually have two clips. Like I mentioned, the webcam and the screen are recorded as two individual pieces of media. So, I can move these around. And then finally, we've got the third clip right here, which is the call to action and the outro. To edit it, if there's anything that I want to remove, I can easily trim any of my clips in the timeline. If I want to remove the middle of a section, I can click split, click split in a different area, right-click and delete this, and then move my clips around. However, I'm going to undo that because I was happy with my takes. So, here I'm going to actually remove the end of this clip right here. I'm going to remove the beginning of this part right here because I always leave a couple of seconds buffer. Bring them back together. So, now it should go flawlessly. Let's get started. Okay, so as you can see, now we're going... As you can see, it moves flawlessly into the next chapter of the video. To make a good training video, we need to make it easy to follow. So, we actually need to break down the steps and add more visual context to the training video so people have the best learning experience. To add text, we're going to go in the left toolbar and just click on the text tab. And then I'm going to open up and click a headline. And this headline, it's now appeared in the timeline if I drag it out a bit. As you can see, I can move it around. Now, this headline, I want to place it at the beginning and drag it out. And let's press play. Hey everyone, Alec here and... Okay, so here I want to list out with text the exact points that I'm going to cover. And then to save time, I'm just going to speed this up, but I can copy and paste my text throughout the rest of the video. And so now that I've added text, step four is importing any other visual media that will help give context to this video. If I want to record more video, I can click on add media and then go and record more video. I can also upload files from my computer. If I want to add some audio, I can go ahead and do the same thing or I can choose from feed stock audio. Again, if I want to give more context with video, I can choose some more from stock videos. There's also a bunch of elements that we can go and take a look through. Now, to make the training video even easier to follow, Now, to make the training video even easier to follow and more accessible to your employees, what we're going to do is click on the subtitles tab and automatically subtitle the entire video. So if I click on auto subtitles, I'm going to select the first clip, select the language that I'm talking in, which is English, and then click create subtitles. V now takes anywhere between a few seconds to a few minutes to subtitle the clip that I selected. I'm going to quickly do this for all of my clips. So now I've added text for more visual context, I've added subtitles to make it easier to follow, and I've added background music to make it more engaging for the viewer. I can export my training video. All I have to do is click on export in the top right, export video. And now, as you can see, our video is being rendered and we can move on to step five, which is sharing our training video. The reason I like using V to create my training videos is because I can do everything in one. Like I mentioned at the beginning, we're going to be using one tool. At the bottom here, I have this share button and I can actually copy this link and send this video to anyone or send it to them via email. I can choose to share it straight to social or embed it straight on my website. And I've got some customization options right down here. And the best part is that anyone I send it to can then come in and add some questions and comments right here on the side of the video. That means that if someone has a question about the video, I can answer it publicly there and anyone else that watches the video can see that answer. And if I don't even want people to start looking for that question, I can then go and click on edit video and then just add a quick screen recording within the video and address that question within the video so they don't even end up looking for that question. And then finally, another favorite thing of mine is we have the full transcription here that we can actually search through, find a specific key moment in our video, click on it and then we're taken to that part within the video. And also if you translate it with VEED, you can see the translation in another language, making your employee training videos international. That is how to make employee training videos.
