Speaker 1: In today's screencast, I'm going to talk a bit about how to add closed captions to a video. Now, there's a couple of ways to do this. You can add your video. So here I've added a video which is another screencast, so it's kind of inception here. Now what we're going to do is we're going to go to our options menu under the video tools and you can either import a caption. So the last time I recorded a closed caption video in Articulate Storyline, you had to work with caption files. So your SRT files, VTT, SPV, and SUV. Now, you can, they've kind of updated how you can go about doing this and all you have to do is add your video and hit add captions. It will automatically kind of guess where the captions need to be placed. So add captions and then it's going to kind of analyze the video for a moment. And as you can see with my waveform, the caption boxes are kind of added in the natural, I guess, areas where I would be speaking. Now you can click one of these and delete it by using these functions up here. So you can delete it, you can split the caption. So say I need two captions to appear with this one. I can select it and then hit split. It will split it 50-50. And then you can also export your captions to another file or delete all of the captions all together. Now, when you're adding your captions, what you're going to do is select the caption you want to add. It will automatically play the audio. So forgive me, you're going to hear my voice for a moment. And then you'll type in what you want that caption to be. So based on what you've heard, you type in the caption. And then you can move on to the next caption. Now this is one where I would prefer the caption to be longer. So I'm going to delete this one here. And I'm just going to grab this one and drag it and then I will listen to it again. And so I still haven't finished my thought, so what I'm going to do is select this one, delete this one, and drag it all the way forward. So you can see that it's pretty easy. So what we'll do is I've just added the two captions there. So we're just going to save them and then we're going to preview it. You'll see when we hit the closed caption toggle, the captions appear. So it's pretty easy to use. All you have to really do is kind of listen to your audio and type it in. It's still not automated. You actually have to do a little bit of work, but it's a lot easier than the original closed caption setup. With Articulate Storyline, they now have the closed caption editor and it's way more easy to use. And user-friendly.
