Speaker 1: This video is going to show how to create a transcript from a video file that you've already recorded. The first thing that we're going to do is go to otter.ai and we are going to select the import button. This will allow us to drag and drop any file that is audio or video and it will automatically transcribe for us. So I have a video on my desktop called Get Accessible Starting Today and I'm simply going to drag and drop that file into otter.ai. And once the file is finished transcribing, I can go to the transcript of this small video file. Now this video was only 37 seconds and what it does is it puts a title of the conversation. It allows us to assign a speaker and I'm going to assign myself. It also provides a summary of the key words. Additionally, we can play back the audio at any point. Did you know that the more accessible you make your content, the more usable it is for everyone, including those with disabilities? And if for some reason something was misspelled, I could simply select edit and adjust any of my punctuation or words that are in here. This will allow me the ability to and then select done. Now from here, I can select the hot dog menu and select export. Export this file into a variety of formats. For me, I like to create SRT files. So I'm going to set it to SRT, add line breaks automatically, show speaker names, max number of lines 2, and the max characters per line set to 32. And then I'm going to select export. This creates that SRT file that I can then take and upload into a variety of other sections. But that concludes our short video on how to transcribe a video or audio file using Otter AI.
