+1 (831) 222-8398Speaker 1: If you didn't find what you were looking for in the Snow Isle Libraries collection, we may still be able to get it for you. If you are looking for a title that is not in the Snow Isle Libraries catalog and is out of print, an article, a book for scholarly research, or you were referred to Interlibrary Loan by Staff, we can try and borrow that item for you from another institution. Customers may have up to five active Interlibrary Loan requests at once. Here's how to use the Snow Isle Libraries Interlibrary Loan service. Go to snow-isle.org. Click on Services, and then Suggest a Purchase in Interlibrary Loan. Scroll to the section of the page for Interlibrary Loan and click on the link for Interlibrary Loan Portal. The first time you visit this portal, you will need to sign up for an account. To do this, click on the Sign Up to Submit and Track Your Service Requests link under the text New to SolarWinds Service Desk. Enter your full email address and full name and click Sign Up. Now navigate to the inbox of the email account you used to sign up and locate and open the activation email from Snow Isle Interlibrary Loans. Click on the orange Activate Account button in the email. Enter your desired password and click the Activate Account button. On the confirmation page, click the Sign In button. Enter the email address you used to register and the password you set and click the Log In button. At the portal landing page, click on the button for the type of item you would like to request via Interlibrary Loan. Complete all the required fields and as many of the optional fields as you can. A mailing address is required so that we can verify your library account. Click on the Request an Item button in the upper right of the window. That's it. You have now successfully submitted your Interlibrary Loan request. The Snow Isle Library's Interlibrary Loan staff will review your suggestion and send you a message if they need any additional information about your request. From the Interlibrary Loan portal, you will be able to see the status of your request and communicate with the Interlibrary Loan staff by adding comments to your request. If we can locate your requested item at another library, your request will move to a state of Processed with a note of In Transit to Customer and you will then receive hold and pickup notices for the item just like regular items you place on hold at the library. Not finding what you need? For titles that are not yet published, consider signing up for our Author Alerts service to get automated email or text message alerts when your favorite authors or content creators' works are added to the Snow Isle Library's catalog. For e-book or e-audiobook purchase suggestions, use the Snow Isle Library's Overdrive website. If you would like to suggest libraries purchase a published title to add to our collection, use our Suggest a Purchase service. If you have any questions, check out the FAQ section of the Suggest a Purchase and Interlibrary Loan page or visit snow-isle.org slash contact dash us. We look forward to helping you find your item in another library system.
