[00:00:00] Speaker 1: Hello, everyone. I'm going to show you how to transform your PowerPoint, which is similar to this one, to something that is very clear and engaging, like what you have here. Let's head to ChatGPT, and I'll show you how to do it. I created a custom GPT that can be used to help you to do that. This is the custom GPT that we can use to transform our PowerPoint to something that is very clear and not a lot of busy information there, and that will help the audience to listen to you and have an engaging presentation. Think about a custom GPT as an AI tool that you create under ChatGPT to complete a specific task. In this case, I created a custom GPT to help us if you want to improve a PowerPoint slide. This document has all the five principles that a very good PowerPoint slide should have. The first one is that you should have one assertion phrase per slide. Think about assertion phrases like a claim that you make that will cause your audience to listen to you. I'm going to show you how the assertion phrases look like. It helps with the engagement. Then for each of the slides, you should have not more than 75 words. Then in terms of bulleting, you should have not more than four bullet points. Then you should not have less than 24 points. It's very important for you to make sure that your information is scannable. In terms of colors, you have to make sure that you choose about three colors, the dominant, supporting, and accent. If you want to learn more about how to design a clear and effective PowerPoint slide, I have a course online here. It's a very short course that you can take. It's just one hour, 11-minute course. You can take it to really help you to learn more about all the best practices and also the principles that you have to be aware of when you are designing a PowerPoint. I'll put the course link in the description session there so that in case you want to get access to the course, you'll be able to do that. The next one is that any visual that you have on your slide should be explained. Every visual should help in communicating your content. It should play a specific role. Also, the colors, text, and visuals should work as one system. There should be a consistency across all these elements, text, colors, and visuals. All these principles are based on research and are based on best practices. That is what was used to create this three slides improvement agent that you can use. I will put a link in the description session so that you can get access to this and then you'll be able to use it to help to improve your PowerPoint slide. I'm going to also do a second video. If you want to create your own custom GPT like what I have here, you can create your own and use it and I'm going to show you step by step how to do that. But for this presentation, I'm just going to show you how to transform your initially created PowerPoint slides, right? Especially if you don't like what you have, you want the design to be better, how to transform this to something like this one or that one. I also use ChachiPT to design this PowerPoint. I like the idea of first designing your PowerPoint or creating your PowerPoint slide. The reason being that instead of you first allowing AI to create this slide for you, you know how you want to present your content. You know the sequence of your topic, how you want to tell your story, how you want to present your content. So it's very important to first design your slides. Don't worry about the aesthetics. Don't worry about whether the content is clear or not. The most important is to put something on the slide so that the system will take that information and improve it for you. Similar to what I have here, it doesn't look very good. The colors are off and there's no consistency in terms of the colors and then the content is a lot in a slide. I know your PowerPoint will not be as bad as what I have here. But even if it's like this, AI can help you to improve the PowerPoint. So let's go and let me show you. So what I'm going to do is at first I'm going to upload the PowerPoint. So I've uploaded the PowerPoint and then this is what I'm going to say. This is my question. Can you review the PowerPoint slide and help me to improve them? Also, can you provide the content of each slide based on your recommendation? Right. So this is the main information that you can ask the system to do and the system will go through the PowerPoint and then suggest what new information should be in the PowerPoint. So this system will review and then based on the five principles that possibly affect your presentation. Right. These five principles that need to be considered when designing a presentation or a PowerPoint slide. So now I have that information here. You can provide additional information about maybe what the slide is all about. What do you want to use it for? Who are you going to present that information to? You can provide additional background information. The more information that you give to the system, the more rich the content that the system will suggest. Right. Let me provide that additional information. So I'm designing this slide to help me to conduct a workshop for master's students who want to learn more about how to code qualitative data. So I've added additional information. So when you finish, you just click on enter and the system will provide any information. So you see that the system is considering all the five main rules or principles that should be considered and then they provide you some information. So it's saying that the content is excellent, but the teaching effectiveness is very low and the visual clarity is also low. So the system has provided you each of the slides and also the problem that it has identified and provided some recommendations. Provided you the old slides and the problem that they find and the new information. So you see the new ones. So this is slide five and you can see that it has provided you the content. This is the body and the visual and then what should be in the slide. In terms of the colors, right, in terms of the three colors, the system has suggested the colors that you could use. Right. But you can also suggest if you don't like these colors that the system has suggested, you can always provide a color. Okay. One thing is that maybe I'm going to recommend my own colors. It's not required, but I want the system to use this color. So I'm going to show it's this color. So if you have three main colors that you want a system to use, you can always recommend. So let's see. I can say that can you use the three colors attached and then let's see what the system will do. Looks like the dominant color will be the warm gold and then the supporting color will be the deep teal. The next one is the ivory off-white. That will be the neutral base. So based on what I gave, this is what the colors is going to use. Now I want the system to finalize the slides. So I will say, can you provide me the content of this? Because I want to get this content that will help me to start designing my new slides. So the system has provided me the content of the new slide here. So that is how you have to do it. And then if you are okay with the content, then now you're going to go ahead to design a slide, right? This one, you have to be patient. You're going to do one slide at a time. The reason being that we are using images to develop the slide, similar to what we have here. So all of these are based on image, right? To help us design the slide. And then when we finish, we compare it with the previous slides and assess the improvement that it has made. So we're going to open a new slide, and I think I will have to show you this one. When you go to design, and you go to the size, you see here, we want the widescreen size, which is 16 by 9. You can do the standard one, which is 4 by 3, but this is what we want to use, right? So that we have the image will be, the slide image will cover every place here, right? So make sure that when you are promising the system to develop each of the slides, you have to make sure to indicate that the size should be 16 by 9, right? So we go back to chat GPT, and we are still under this custom GPT, right? What you could do is you copy the first slide, you see here, right? And then you come back here, and this is what you're going to see. I ask, can you generate slide one in the form of an image? Here is the content, and then I just pasted information that I just got from here. You see the content from slide one here. I just copied this information, and then put it here, and click on enter. It will take a few minutes, maybe one minute or so, for the system to generate the image, right? When it generates the image, and you are satisfied, you put it on your slide. You may ask, why can't I just give one prompt, and the system generates all the images for me to be used? The system cannot do that for now. You have to do one image at a time, and another positive thing about doing one image at a time is that when you don't like what it has generated, then you can always go back and ask the system to generate, and then make based on your recommendation. So, as you can see here, I have my first slide here, which is far, far better than this one. You see this slide? Look at the difference now. Then I can download it, and then I open, and copy, and paste it here. So, I come to my, click here, and paste, right? So, you see that I have my first slide. The only limitation here is that you cannot change any word here. So, let's say if you don't want the title, and you want the title to be like what is here, so we can copy this one, or you want to copy the old title, and then, so you go to edit, and then what you're going to do is that you can tell the system that, can you replace the title in yellow to this title? You can do that. And also, you see here, it has different sides. If you want the system to, if you don't like this side, and you want to change the image to any side that you want, you just have to indicate it, right? Especially if the system did not generate it like 16 by 9, you can just ask the system, can you recreate it into 16 by 9, and the system will be able to do that for you. So, now, what we can do is that we can easily tell the system, I say, can you change the title in yellow to understanding qualitative data coding, right? And then I click on enter, and the system will regenerate it, right? So, let's go down here. I was unable to generate image due to the error on my slide. I don't know why. So, what I can do here is that I'll go to, you see the edit here, and then edit here, and then do it again, send, and see whether it will be able to do it. Now it's generating, right? So, whenever it hits an error, you just have to redo it again, and then I think it will work. So, always make sure that you are satisfied with what the system has given you before you move it to your slides, right? In terms of the size, in terms of the content, right? You can even let the system add an image, right? One example is that I can say that, can you add an aesthetically pleasing image, right? Let's say you want to add a specific image to this one. Let's see whether the system will be able to do that. So, you can always ask for improvement of the image if what the system provided to you doesn't meet your expectation, right? So, as we are waiting, let's also go into the next slide. So, let me go to slide two. So, this is slide two. So, I'm going to copy that and come down here, and then work on the slide two. So, here I say, can you create an image for slide two? Before I click on enter, let's see what we have gotten. So, this one looks so nice. It looks better than the usual. So, you always have to just explore, provide a prompt, and then you'll be able to get a very rich information from the system. So, I can click on enter here to start working on the second slide, and then where is the first slide? Okay, this is the first one. This slide looks like it's got 16 by 9. So, let's see. So, when you click on it, you can download it, and I think it's not 16 by 9. It might be 4 by 3. Let's see. Yes, it's 4 by 3. So, we can always ask the system to reshape it to 16 by 9. We can do that. So, let's go back here. So, it's going to be back and forth, but you see how the design is getting better. It's far better than what I have here, right? So, let's do it. Oh, wonderful. The second one is good, but it's not 16 by 9. So, I have to, let me do this one first. I can say, can you make it 16 by 9? Okay. So, yeah, if sometime this one comes up, what you're going to do is go to edit here and click on send, so the system will recreate that information, right? So, yes, it's getting better. So, it takes time, but if you want quality information, this is what you have to do. The easier way is to go to GammaApp. So, you can go to GammaApp and it can easily create your content. So, I think I, let me see. Let me share this content. It's good, but the problem here is that it's not really in line with the five principles, right? So, GammaApp can create something good for you, but it's not the best. So, that's why this one that I'm using right now, how it's following the principles that of a quality design when it comes to presentation. This one is done already. So, I click on that. Yes. You see the sides. That's the side that we are looking at. So, I click on this one. This is the second slide. So, we copy that and then bring it here. This is the second slide, and then I always click on the first information here, like the options here, so that it covers every place. So, let's go and work on the first slide. So, this one is the one I really have an issue with. Let's go back here. So, I think, so I want to work on this slide. So, if you click on it and click on this one and then ask for edits, sometimes it also comes up with errors. So, what I do is that you can edit this part. You see that under here, you click on edit and then type your information and you make it 16 by 9, and then let's see. So, as we are waiting for the system to correct the first slide, we can go back and start working on the third slide. Right. So, let's go here. Okay. So, the test slides, let's copy that one, and then we can go down here. Can you do image? So, I say, can you do an image for the test slide? And then I put the content for the test slide here. Let's do the test slides as I try to work on the second slide. And then this test slide, I can say that in parentheses, size. Sometimes you have to indicate the size so that the system will not create a site that you don't expect or you don't like. So, I click on enter. So, the system is now working on the third slide and it looks it's not doing the first slide for us. It keeps on taking us to the second. So, this is another strategy. You click on it and download it. Right. When you download it, you copy and then continue the conversation. You copy, and then when the system finishes with the third one, then we ask it to work on the first one. Right. So, I'm going to put enter here, and then the system has finished the third one. Everything is fine. I click on download, copy it, and then go and put it on my slide. So, this will be my test slide. I'll put it here. So, whenever you push it, this is what you're going to get. When you go here and choose the first option, it covers every place. Right. So, I have my second and the third one. We're still working on the first slide. Let's go back here. So, this is what you're going to do. You see I've downloaded the first slide, which is not in the size that I want, and I say, can you resize the attached image to 16 by 9? Let's see. So, you see another way to, if you don't like the image, you can always download it and then attach it and ask the system to edit it for you. Right. So, that's what you could do. So, that's how the process is. You do it one by one. If it's 20 slides, you do each of them, and you see how higher quality. And one thing I like is that it's in line with your content. The sequence is the way that you like. The topic is in the sequence that you want to present the information or tell your story. Right. So, that's what I like about this process. It takes some time, but it's the best in terms of the quality and the abiding by the principle of an effective design. Oh, the system has finished doing that. So, now we can download it and then right click it and bring it back here. Okay. So, I've done it. We have our first slide. Nicely. Let me show it here. See the nine slides. Second slide. The first one. I like that. Second one. And the third one. Right. So, we have done three. You have to do the same process and do all of them. Because of time, I cannot go through everything. So, but you see that. Look at the old one. Right. Look at the first slide. Second slide. Third slide. Fourth slide. And then look at the one that we have done. Which one will you choose? If somebody is doing a presentation and using this second one, how wonderful and how engaging your presentation will be. In my next video, I'm going to show you how to create your own slides improvement agent and that chat GPT so that you can use it yourself. You don't have to use mine. But if you want to use mine, you can always use it. I put a link there in my description section for you to use it. I hope this one was helpful to you. If you have any questions, let me know. I'll be happy to address them for you. Thank you so much for your time.
