I could send you my free training if you want. Tigerfish Transcription, let's dive in. So what it is, basically, it's a website that allow you to earn money by transcribing audio files into text. I mean, that's what transcription is. And to get an idea of what sort of jobs you could do on here, you would click what we do. And you can see, you could do legal, healthcare, marketing, consulting, transcription, and so on. Now, Tigerfish has been around since, sorry, 1989. That's even before the internet was around, for most people. They've served some very well-known clients, like so many, I mean, I'm sure you've heard of some of these. I don't have to name them. Google, JP Morgan, University of Washington, and so on. And now, Tigerfish, because they're one of the smaller transcription websites, you can't really find any reviews about them on, say, Trustpilot or some of the big review websites. But that doesn't mean they're not legitimate. As far as I can tell, they're legitimate. And I haven't found any red flags, as far as people not getting paid or anything like that. They have a real team behind them. If you go to About Us, these are cartoon images, but these are real people. If you Google them, you'll find them on social media. So you'll find their LinkedIn profiles. Now, if you are interested in signing up, it's pretty straightforward. You would just come to, you actually have to type it in. So you would come to tigerfish.com slash transcription hyphen jobs. And so I don't know where to find it on their site. You just have to type that in, or just Google search it. And they're very transparent about what they're looking for. So they're looking for someone who has a good ear for language and a strong sense for English writing. I'm having trouble speaking English right now. Must be a US citizen. So yeah, you must be a US citizen or a resident of the US with high-speed internet, telephone number that they can reach you out regularly, which is a bit odd because I've never seen a transcription site that requests that, but anyway, that's okay. And you need a Windows-based computer. So their software is not compatible with Macs. And that's actually quite normal for these websites. And you'll need to install their, you can install their free software, but eventually you'll need to upgrade to a paid software, which is going to cost you $229. So be aware of that. Now, some other equipment that you'll need or that you should probably have that they don't mention is I would get a pair of headsets or a headset with high quality audio so that you can actually hear the audio files. And it's probably something that covers your ears. If it has a noise canceling effect, that would help, especially if you have a lot of lawnmowers and weed whackers and leaf blowers going on, like I do around my house all the time, or you just have a noisy environment, but because this job is going to require focus. And also you'll need a foot pedal, something like this. So that's where you can rewind, pause, fast forward without taking your hands off the keyboard so you're not slowed down by that. You should also probably have a text expander, which if you don't know what a text expander does, it works very similar to the autocomplete feature on smartphones. You'll be able to type out a shortened version of a word or a phrase, and it'll type the whole thing out for you. This can be especially useful for medical or legal field, where you'll often find yourself typing the same words over and over again, same phrases. And also, and so Phrase Express is one you can check out. And you should also be able to type fairly quickly. I would say 65 words per minute is a good goal. If you don't know your typing speed, just come to typingtest.com, and this is something you can practice. If you're not at 60 or 65 or 70, it's something you can work on, and it's a skill, a learnable skill like anything. So now to apply, all you'll need to do is download their style guide. First of all, transcription style guide, so you know what's expected of you. Make sure you understand what they're looking for, what kind of style, and you need to submit a transcription test. It's three segments, five minutes each. The audios are five minutes. And so this alone is probably gonna, that alone is gonna take you about at least an hour, I would say, because for each audio minute, it generally takes four actual minutes to transcribe. And then also you wanna provide some basic information about yourself, what books you like to read, your educational background, relevant experience. And then they can take several weeks to get back to you, so do be patient with them. As far as how they pay, it's all done through PayPal once a week. They don't say that on their website, but apparently it's through PayPal. How much could you earn? Well, that entirely depends on your skill, your speed, how many hours you're willing to work, and the schedule is very flexible. And also how much work is available, because it can be quite seasonal, this type of work, and what you can expect to earn on a per hour basis, because that's what probably you really care about. I don't have it pulled up, but if you just Google transcription jobs, or transcription tiger fishers, generally between, you'll find $8 to $11 per hour. So, which is not that much money, of course. So tiger fish is definitely on the lower end of the pay scale. Other websites pay more. Other websites pay $15 to $18 an hour, if you're good at what you do. But also tiger fish is much more, it's easier to get accepted than some of these other websites, which will require lots of experience. So, this is a good way to get your feet wet, if you're interested in transcription, and you don't necessarily have that experience that some other companies are looking for. So, you can check it out if you want. But, look, maybe you're here not necessarily because you wanna be a transcriptionist, making, at best, $15 to $18 an hour. You know, yes, it is nice to be able to work from the comfort of your own home. It beats commuting two hours a day to an office. But still, that's not that much money. You know, you're never, I mean, you can't really do anything with that. You're never gonna become financially free. And it's still like having a job at the end of the day, where you're constantly having to deliver projects. And if you're gonna be working from home, leveraging the internet, why not really leverage it? So, where you could be earning, you know, 30, 50, $100 an hour, plus whether, and you could take the day off, if you feel like it. So, and then you're, the work you've done previously is just kind of working for you in the background on autopilot 365 days a year. Why not do that instead? But if you are interested, maybe you're here not necessarily because you wanna be a transcriptionist. Maybe you are just looking for the simplest, fastest way to earn a full-time income or very nice side income from home. If that's the case, what I suggest is click the link below.
