Speaker 1: From Bundaberg in Queensland, Australia, the latest from our newsletter at podnews.net. Podcast Discovery website Podchaser has added a recommendation feature. You can now recommend podcasts, episodes or creators to your friends on the service or via email. We like their example of a creator to follow too. You'll find more details in our show notes in our newsletter today. There's quite a bit of activity at the moment about Podcast Discovery, so a new website podcastdiscovery.net has just been launched. It's a website and a newsletter that'll never catch on, following on the latest advances in this area. Canadian podcast producer Fable and Folly Productions have produced what they call the Missing Patreon Dashboard, containing a set of supplemental metrics and data from your own Patreon account. Building a community is about revenue, audience growth and retention. In other words, it's a business, said the company's EP, Sean Howard, and we believe it's time we start measuring it like one. If you're on the hunt, by the way, for a Patreon-like alternative membership service, we found Steady today. It's based in Berlin, and in the Netherlands, there's one that's probably not pronounced Petchy. Anyway, it's an independent Dutch language solution. PodBay is a new-to-us podcast player in your browser. It's at podbay.fm, and it does a good job of displaying episodes and lets you subscribe to your favourite podcast. Worth checking out. PodBible, a printed magazine in the UK, have unveiled the results of their Reader Poll of the best podcasts of last year. The winners are all British, and they span bigger and smaller shows. In Forbes, there's a great piece about the excellent Paul Bay, director of the new Marvel's studio podcast Marvels. The article is written by Joshua Dudley. And should you encode your podcast in MP3 or in AAC? We did some research, so you don't have to. You'll find that linked from our show notes and our newsletter today. And in podcasts today, there was a podcast category on Jeopardy, a popular US television quiz show on Friday night. We've got the questions and the answers in our show notes and our newsletter today. And there's plenty more in our newsletter at podnews.net.
