+1 (831) 222-8398[00:00:00] Speaker 1: US skier Lindsey Vonn was airlifted to hospital after crashing during a race ahead of the Winter Olympics. The 41-year-old lost her balance, hit the side netting and her airbag deployed. She was able to get back up but appeared to be in some pain, at one point clutching her left knee. Vonn was airlifted for medical checks. Her coach, Axel Lundsvindel, said she was taken to hospital because there were things the physio wasn't 100% sure about. After Vonn's crash, organisers called off the rest of the race with the weather conditions continuing to worsen. Three other skiers also fell or crashed. This was the last downhill before the Milano-Cortina Olympics, with the women's downhill scheduled for December 8th. Of course, any injury this close to the start of the Games is going to be a major concern with so little time left to recover. Vonn posted an update on Instagram saying she's still talking the situation over with her doctors, but my Olympic dream is not over. Thank you all for the love and support. I will give more information when I have it.
