[00:00:00] Speaker 1: So this is the scar, this is the bite mark of the bull shark, so you can see it's quite big. Peter Smith was attacked by a bull shark in the Caribbean island of Tobago almost two years ago.

[00:00:12] Speaker 2: I stand up and waist deep water and then suddenly I feel a very heavy object hit my leg really hard and I look down and there's a shark and it's big, you're talking eight foot, maybe 10 foot. I start punching the shark and I can honestly say I've never hit anything as hard as I actually hit that shark. And what did your friends do? John and Moira were in the water with me. I can remember Moira screaming and shouting for help. I remember John coming to help me fight the shark.

[00:00:48] Speaker 3: I remember going into the water and seeing his terrible injuries, I mean I couldn't believe what I could see, you could see bones, it was just awful.

[00:01:05] Speaker 1: This shark was spotted in the area on the day of the attack. Peter spent months having treatment for multiple bites in Miami and London. It was the first and only shark attack ever recorded in Tobago.

[00:01:21] Speaker 2: People say you were unlucky because of the shark but I feel incredibly lucky, incredibly lucky because of the help I got.
