+1 (831) 222-8398Speaker 1: Hello, and welcome to the Transperfect voiceover and dubbing e-learning. I'd like to tell you briefly about the philosophy of this course. There is a need right now for a new group of actors worldwide to accommodate the growth of content due to the emergence of digital platforms. We believe that only a new group of actors, using new tools and new processes, will be able to handle this global need for localization. Our cloud-based process using Globalink Studio will allow you to record high-quality projects when you want and where you want. This is an innovative and very flexible workflow, which we think is a solution to this growing demand for faster deliveries. This course will be a mix of historical and technical information, which will help you to become a voiceover and a dubbing actor, as well as your own engineer, to give you full flexibility in your work. The course will be divided in two parts that you should be able to complete in approximately two months, and I will be your guide through this journey. In the first part, we'll talk about how everything started in Hollywood and how the dubbing was born in Europe. We'll learn how to prepare a text for reading, how to use a microphone, our application DL Studio, and finally, how to be your own engineer while recording your voice. At the end of part one, you should be able to complete a simple voiceover project. In the second part, you will learn how to place your voice and to control it to create different sounds. As a musician, I've always considered the voice as an instrument, and I will show you how to play with it and have fun with it. We'll talk about things like pitch, projection, compression, and we'll finish this part by talking about acting and how to do a great performance, as you will likely be alone to record and direct yourself, which is not an easy task. I wish you good luck, and I hope you will have as much fun as I had during the creation of this course.
