Did you just create your first podcast? Is it recorded? Is it edited? And is it ready to share with the world? Hold on. Now it's time to find a host for your podcast. But how do I choose a host? I mean, there are so many options. I don't know what to do. I don't like making decisions. Help. Don't worry. I've got you covered. The first purpose of a hosting platform is to manage and store all of your podcast information. When you upload your audio file, the hosting platform will create an RSS feed with all of the information you've entered about your show. Among this information, you'll find the description of your episodes, your images, your titles, your name and email address, and the URL of your website. It's what we call the metadata. The second purpose of a hosting platform is to distribute your podcast everywhere. For this, the host uses your RSS feed, which they'll share with all the listening platforms of your choice, which will then update your podcast as soon as new episodes are released. And voila. That's the base of what a host is. The bare minimum, if you will. But then, there's OSHA. Aren't you looking for a host that's more than a host? A friend. A coffee dog. No, but seriously, let me show you what it's like to host your podcast on OSHA. First you create your show and you fill in all of the metadata. Description, category, cover. It's in this show space where you can add your episodes. I promise, the steps are easy and our support team is always there if you need help. Next, OSHA creates an RSS feed for your show. And with your approval, it's sent to all of the platforms that you've chosen. You can even automatically distribute your episodes on YouTube. Ugh, I mean, who wants to upload an episode of anything to YouTube these days? I don't. Love automated. Thank you, OSHA. This increases the discoverability of your podcast and improves your referencing because YouTube? It's basically Google. Already, OSHA has done a load of heavy lifting for you. Your podcast exists, it's published, and it's distributed everywhere. Thank you, OSHA. Well done. Now it's time for the next step, to make your podcast visible. And thanks to OSHA, you have a lot of great tools at your fingertips. With OSHA, you can create video extracts and add those, like, nice little groovy sound waves. You can embed an audio player on your website, so anyone can listen to your podcast directly from your website. And you can use OSHA's SmartLink, which is a unique listening link, which basically has all the different listening platforms in one place. So your listeners can choose where they want to listen to their podcast with just one link. We've even developed a social media manager on our platform to help you boost your podcast even more.
