Speaker 1: and I am going to show you how you can rank your podcast in the charts also rank see your reviews basically just everything in one place because it can be quite overwhelming when you are dealing with multiple directories you know if you're like apple google spotter stitch you know you're in multiple places hopefully which is what we've covered previously in the course but what can be really really overwhelming about that is actually having to go to every single different platform or directory in order to get your different stats together because buzzsprout is amazing but it will only give you like collated um collated information and demographics if you want to dive much deeper into where your listeners are coming from where you're sitting in the charts collectively then you're going to need to use something like podkite or chartable now it's up to you which one you want to you want to use i'm going to show you how to set up on podkite chartable does as well also have its own um have its own charts but just be wary of that that you need to be registered on chartable in order to be in the chartable charts so if you turn around and say oh I'm a top 50 podcast but you're only on the Chartable charts you have to have submitted yourself to be considered for that now Chartable does always also look at the Apple podcast charts Spotify charts general chart all you know all these different things but just if you're looking at just the Chartable chart that's just something to bear in mind but I prefer to use Podkite purely because I find that the emails they send me are a little bit more aesthetically pleasing to snapshot the graphic to then put onto to Instagram or whatever to so when you've seen those little boxes which are green or red or grey which have said the confident CEO podcaster is ranking here there and wherever this pod kite is where I have got those graphics from whether we have emailed them over to me so I'm going to show you how to set this up so first I am going okay so i've submitted my information this is showing me that i can sign up to something called kite links where um people will be submitted to my favorite app now i really like these kind of links charitable also has one what's amazing about this kind of link is that you will just have a link which will just be something like kite.link slash your ending as in you know your podcast name will be there or you can get one which is like charitable.com slash and then your podcast name and what's amazing about these links is that when you give people that link such as kite.link slash feel lazy girl's guide to podcasting for example if i give that to somebody and they click on that link they will be taken to whichever app is their favorite listening app for their podcast so and it won't just be the only episode they'll be encouraged to subscribe to the whole to the whole podcast so that is absolutely amazing so if they listen in spotify they will automatically be taken to your podcast on spotify they normally listen on apple podcast they will go be taken to your podcast on apple podcast if it's stitcher if it's deezer if it's iheart radio as long as you're listed in that podcast directory it will take you that person to their favoured podcast directory which is another reason why i say to get listed in as many places so this is really really cool and i am definitely going to make sure that i am set up with this so i'm going hit next and again it just gives me a little bit more um more information on that you might have noticed here it says you can upgrade but that's only if you want a custom domain and to be honest with you if you are using this link if you're putting this link in your link in bio or what have you it really does not need to be customized because you know it yeah it really just doesn't people don't really care so again it's just explaining the the ease of it and the and the need um for using your kite link and as it's saying here then you know you can include that in your emails um in your mailing list as well um so that and then it makes it much easier as well for them to add in a a rating there so really is trying to sell me well it's not sell me but tell me all of the benefits which i'll leave you have a look at all of these benefits yourself but all I would say is that it is much better to just have one one link in my in my opinion I think it's very very beneficial so it's now taking me through to all of the different plans I am not going to pay for any of them so I'm just going to click out of there now we're going to go to add a podcast and track a new podcast i'm going to start typing this in girls guide to oh helps if i can spell my own show doesn't it there it is the lazy girls guides podcasting um is the podcast controlled by this account yes it is my account you can actually also couldn't you know track competitors there which i think is quite interesting but this is mine and as you saw i clicked on that little x at the side which is why my membership is free i have now connected that and then what i can do is come across and i can click on channel and when this chart um when the podcast is being listened to any ranks in the charts will appear down here which is very exciting now because i'm on the free plan there are limitations to this i can't for example look at the web funnel and in specific download stats but in all fairness I get that across on um on my buzzsprouters anyway um I also can't break down my chart rankings per episode or by search but again that doesn't really bother me I just want to know overall where the channel is sitting and the other nice thing is about reviews here is then when you get reviews you can just see them all um in one place and you can also search for them by platform as well and sort them by the newest or oldest because one of the interesting things is that when you go into apple podcast for example it will show the reviews that you have got and the ratings that you've got within the country that you are in at the moment your ip address you know whatever's been picked up on your um on your phone or wherever you are accessing apple podcast for example so in order to just see everything collectively it's really nice to be able to see it here now if we go across to links with kite links what i was talking about earlier your one link to rule them all eventually essentially that has appeared up here so I can just press copy for that link and then I can I'll just show you if I paste that into a new tab then you can see that it will take me wherever I normally listen so I can just hit apple podcasts and look at that open up the podcasts and there it's there it is which is very very exciting so hopefully you have and i what i also really like about this is that it tells me to go and follow it as well so i hope you have found that useful when it comes to setting up for kite links and with pod kite as i said i think this is an amazing website yet you are slightly limited if you are on the free plan however i personally i feel that between um pod kite and buzzsprout i don't think you need anything anything extra but that is just completely um completely personal all that so as I said hope you've enjoyed this and I will see you next video
