Speaker 1: Get involved, don't just stay in your dorm room. I found the most success joining clubs, so I'm currently the president of ROAR, which stands for Restoration Outreach and Research, and we do several community-based reclamation projects, and from that I've been able to network just throughout my entire college career for internships and then to hook up with jobs and everything like that. So get involved, just do it. For all you incoming freshmen,
Speaker 2: get as involved as possible. I learned this back in high school, the more involved you are in school, more of an enjoyable experience it is overall. Gives you a lot of different perspectives from various groups and individuals across the university's population and really just gives you a more well-rounded experience. You know, whether you're getting involved with registered student organizations, Greek life, work stuff, it always just helps to get as
Speaker 3: involved as possible. My advice for incoming freshmen would be to join student government and get involved in campus. My advice to incoming freshmen is to take advantage of several on-campus opportunities, like different clubs and different groups, and I would also suggest to participate in international studies programs because I did not and that's something that I regret.
Speaker 4: My advice I would give incoming freshmen is to be open to all types of people and experiences and to just jump in and get involved in clubs or fraternity and sorority life or student government here on campus. Get involved with as much as you can because you can always unsubscribe from an email list. It's a lot harder to actually show up afterwards. If you're interested in any clubs that
Speaker 3: you see in the union, like it may be intimidating, but definitely approach them and see if they'd be of interest to you because they look really good on applications and really good for future job
Speaker 5: resumes. I guess something I like to share with incoming cowboys is to really just take advantage of all the opportunities that the university provides you, all of the RSOs, and that's how you really meet the people that you want to spend your time with.
