+1 (831) 222-8398Speaker 1: If you have a podcast and you are not marketing it using vertical short-form content like TikToks, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, you're doing something wrong. No offense. I would know, I was a podcaster myself and we did well on our podcast. However, our views really stagnated and it's really hard to grow a podcast organically because people can't listen to that many per day or per week and also there's not an easy way to find new podcasts. And that's why you need to turn your podcast into short-form vertical content to market it. As soon as we repurposed our horizontal video into vertical video and posted it on TikTok, we were literally getting millions of views per TikTok and therefore getting hundreds of thousands of views more on YouTube. So today I'm going to show you the easiest way to turn your video podcast into vertical clips for social media using our online video editor Kapwing. Let's get into it. Okay, hi guys. So first thing you're going to do is go to kapwing.com. You can click the link in the description. It'll take you right here and then you can click sign in. You can sign in in multiple ways and I'll just make it so that when you export you don't have a watermark on your video. So then in your workspace you're going to click new content and then now you can drag in your files or paste in a link. So if you're using the free version, you can only export videos that are under 250 megabytes upon upload. So if you have like an hour-long podcast that's larger than 250 megabytes, it's probably not going to work. You'll have to upgrade to pro because I know podcast sizes can be pretty large. So just be aware of that. So let's say I want to make an Instagram reel or something and I want to take a clip of this first 30 seconds or so. And the first thing you'll do is you'll want to click split. You can click that right here or you can use the S button on the keyboard and delete what you don't need. Then what you're going to want to do is click off to the side and then you will be prompted to change the output size if you'd like. And you do. If you want to make it vertical, you have to change it to 9 by 16. But as you can see, we're not all fitting in the frame perfectly because we have three different camera angles. So if this is the case for you, what you're going to do is every time the camera switches, you will put another split in the clip, which I will do right now. So there's a split when it switches from me to Sarah. Split. And then I'll split it when it switches from Sarah to Amy. Okay, so here are all the splits that I need to do in this clip. So then what I'm going to do is I'm going to click the ones where we aren't quite perfectly in the frame and then you're going to click the crop button once you click that. And then you can click 9 by 16 again and you can move it over to fit the person that you're trying to fit in the frame and then click done cropping. And then you can do this for each clip. So I'll do it for me, click on the clip, click the crop button, 9 by 16 and put me into the frame, done cropping. And now I have a great podcast promotion clip. So what I'm going to do is click the export button and then you can wait for it to process. And then when you're done, you can click the download button. All right, guys, thanks so much for watching. I hope this was helpful. Make sure to subscribe to the channel to join an online community of modern creators. Also check out our discord so you can keep up with other Kaplingers and the Kapling staff like me, and I'll see you guys in the next one.
