[00:00:00] Speaker 1: Okay, so don't get mad. But if your law firm is using like five different tools to get one task done, friends, we can do so much better than that. Hi, I'm Huma. I'm a criminal defense lawyer who has pivoted to the world of legal tech. I know the practice side, so I know exactly which tools actually help lawyers and which ones just create more work. If your law firm isn't using the right case management features, you're wasting time, you're slowing your team down, and you're losing money, while other lawyers with the right tools use them to get ahead. This is part two of my series on case management software features that your law firm cannot live without. Email integration is one of my favorite features because if you have to scroll endlessly through your inbox just to figure out what's going on in a case, that's a problem. Email communication streams, calendar invites, all of these things, they should automatically live inside the matter so that everyone on your team sees the same thing instantly. That brings us to reporting and insights. Emails, call logs, your notes, everything. It should be saved directly to the matter and automatically. That way, you're not giving yourself carpal tunnel scrolling through that inbox to find out what happened most recently in the matter that woke you up out of a dead sleep at 2 a.m. Once everything actually lives inside its matter, you can use that information to generate all sorts of reports like a list of upcoming statutes of limitations or a report on current IOTA balances per matter. But amidst business as usual, we can't forget about prospective business. Intake and lead management is crucial for for your firm's continuing financial health. Missed leads equal missed revenue. That's money on the table. Your software should capture, notify, and create cases automatically without you having to chase things down or weed through duplicative entries. Follow for part three for more on features that your legal software needs to be offering you.
