Speaker 1: In this video, we're going to learn how to optimize Zoom to record our video podcast. There are many tools out there that you can use to record your video podcast, but one that we have become really familiar with over the past couple of years is Zoom. While Zoom is fantastic for video conferencing, out of the box, however, it can be a little, and that's so great when it comes to call quality for your audio and video podcast. But we can optimize Zoom to give us the best chance for a video podcast. By the way, stay to the end of this video as I'm going to show you how you can get amazing sounding audio only podcast recordings all through your browser. In the Zoom settings, we're going to change a few key settings that are going to give us the best chance for our recording. In the Zoom settings, click on Video, choose HD and Original Ratio for your camera. Under Advanced, check Optimize Video with Denoise and Hardware Acceleration for receiving video. For our audio, there are a few key settings that will drastically change our audio quality for the better. Under the Audio settings, scroll down to Audio Profile, turn on Original Sound for Musicians and enable High Fidelity Music Mode. These two settings, when enabled, will disable any post-processing or compression that Zoom happens to do to your audio. During your Zoom call, you can click on the Original Sound button to enable or disable this feature during the recording. And finally, disable Echo Cancellation. It is important to note that with Echo Cancellation disabled you want to ensure that yourself and your guests are wearing headphones. These final settings will help optimize your recording for editing within any third-party video editor. Under Recording, first choose where you want to store your recorded files to. Secondly, you want to enable the following options. Record separate audio for each participant and optimize for third-party editor. These two settings will give us an MP4 video file that we can bring into any video editing application, as well as provide us with individual audio tracks for each participant, which is great for audio post-production. You can also disable participant names if you do not want the username of each participant burned into the recording. So you've got this new, fancy video recording of your podcast, but what can you actually do with it? First off, you could release the entire episode as a video podcast directly through Libsyn. You could edit out specific moments from the podcast into topics and then publish those shorter videos to YouTube, or you could trim your recording down to create TikToks, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts, perfect for episode promotion. Armed with these new Zoom settings, your recordings will go from a pixelated mess to crystal clear in no time. ♪♪♪ ♪♪♪ ♪♪♪
