[00:00:00] Speaker 1: A few changes in your edit can make a big difference in how professional your video looks and sounds. In this video, I'll show you the features and settings you can use to get results like this with your own content. We'll cover the essential edits first, then get into a few tools that can take your videos even further. And you don't need to be an experienced editor to follow along. Let's get started. A professional video starts with a clear explanation and good pacing. I'm using a video I recorded about making your camera look better as an example, but you can follow along with your own content. The transcript appears beside the video with the timeline below in the Riverside Editor. You can edit from either one. For text-based editing, highlight a sentence you don't need in the transcript and delete it. That section comes out of the video, making it easy to remove repeated takes without searching through the timeline. You can also cut and fine-tune edits directly in the timeline. You can do this just by dragging your mouse back and forth and making the edits that you want to. Start by removing false starts, repeated lines, and anything that doesn't move the explanation forward. You can also make some of these edits cleaning up some of the fluff in your videos by using the AI tool Find Fluff. Now, this helps your video get the point across without wasting the viewer's time. Once you've gone through it, go ahead and play through the cuts and make sure everything still flows naturally. Now, audio makes a huge difference in how professional a video feels, even when the picture already looks fantastic. Magic Audio is a simple place to start. It helps reduce background noise and room echo while making your voice clearer. You can turn it on with one click, then listen back to hear the difference. But you can also go even further using the EQ, and that gives you more control over the tone of your voice, like reducing some muddiness or adding a little clarity. I did a whole video on audio editing in Riverside that I'll link right up here. In that video, I go through how to use the EQ properly, so check that out if you want to spend a little bit more time getting your sound right. Now, not every video is going to need this feature, but background replacement can help when your surroundings aren't quite what you want. For footage recorded in Riverside, select your video in the preview and open the background effects. You can blur the background, choose a replacement, or upload your own image. I actually use this all the time on my buddy and I's podcast because his wife's desk is right behind him. So for privacy reasons, he wants to make sure that's blurred out. I'd recommend keeping it simple and choosing something that matches your lighting and camera angle. That helps your background blend into the shot and keeps attention on you because the attention should always be on you. One of the easiest ways to make your videos feel more professional is to keep the design consistent. In the branding panel, you can save your logo, colors, and textiles to reuse across videos you create. That means your titles and call outs can follow the same style without having to make those design decisions every time. You can also keep that look consistent across layouts, whether you have one person or two people on screen. You don't need to add a logo to every single corner, although it does look pretty cool. Even using the same font and colors throughout the video can make everything feel more put together. And don't we all want to feel more put together? Once that style is in place, motion graphics can help you draw attention to an important point or make an explanation easier to follow. For this example, I'm going to add a graphic to support one of the camera tips I mentioned. You can generate a custom motion graphic through a prompt or choose a template and customize it for your video. I'll use a custom prompt here to describe what I want the graphic to show and how I want it to look. Once it's generated, I'll add it to the timeline. I'd recommend being selective with these. A well-placed graphic can help explain your point, but too many can become distracting. Good editing is knowing where to refine and where to hold back. Now, before exporting, I'm going to watch the entire video through. This is where I'm going to check that the cuts feel natural, the audio sounds consistent, and the graphics appear at the moment I want them to. It's also a good time to check a typo or a graphic that disappears a little too quickly. Those small details are going to be what makes the finished video feel more polished. Once everything looks and sounds good, choose your export quality. I usually use 4K when the platform I'm uploading to supports that, but for most social media platforms, 1080p is also great. Then export the finished video and it's ready to share on your preferred platform. And that's how you can make your videos look and sound more professional with Riverside. You don't need to use every feature in every video. Start with a clean edit and clear audio and add the finishing touches that help your content. If you're ready to start editing with Riverside, you can use the link in the description to get started. And if you want to learn more about Riverside features, I'll link a few more videos for you to watch right up here and in the description down below. Don't forget to like this video and subscribe for more content just like this. If you have any questions, feel free to leave them in the comments. I'd be happy to answer them personally. Thank you so much for watching and we can't wait to see what you create.

Arow Summary
The speaker demonstrates how to create more professional-looking videos in the Riverside Editor. The workflow begins with tightening pacing by removing false starts, repeated takes, and unnecessary wording using transcript-based editing, timeline cuts, and the Find Fluff AI tool. Audio is then improved with Magic Audio and optional EQ adjustments to reduce noise, echo, and muddiness. Additional polish can come from background replacement or blur, consistent branding with reusable logos, colors, fonts, and layouts, and selectively placed motion graphics. Before export, the editor should review the complete video for smooth cuts, consistent audio, correctly timed graphics, and typos. Export in 4K where supported or 1080p for most social platforms.
