Speaker 1: Would you like to learn how to publish your audio book to 45 platforms in 10 minutes? Stay tuned. Hey, I'm Dale, and I'm just tickled to death to go ahead and share a little bit more information about how you can publish your audio book to 45 different platforms in about 10 minutes. Why would you want to get out of the comforts of going to publishing your audio book through ACX? Well, chances are very likely, maybe you're not making enough scratch, or maybe you would like to reach more readers than ever, because ACX only has three avenues as it stands. They don't have library distribution at the moment, and that is where you're gonna get literally thousands of readers that are gonna consume your content. So that's why you may want to consider using this particular methodology. So if you do publish to the various platforms, remember, your book cannot be exclusive to the Audiobook Creation Exchange platform. It needs to be non-exclusive, meaning you're gonna take a little bit of a pay cut. Fair warning, you're gonna need your narration done in advance, and that means you can't do 50-50 royalty split through ACX, you're actually gonna have to pay for a narrator or narrate the book yourself so you can distribute to the 45 different platforms in 10 minutes. You're gonna need to do a little bit of prep work ahead of time, and that means organizing all of your files, make sure all your audio files are in order and labeled properly, have all your metadata that includes your title, your subtitle, series name, author name, description, keywords, categories, everything into one sheet, and of course, have your cover available. You're gonna need to have that in 2,400 by 2,400 for ACX, and you're gonna need to have it for 3,000 by 3,000 for Findaway Voices, and on the other platform, you can use either one of those dimensions. Do not select any exclusive options. If you follow this step-by-step, you should be able to hit all 45 platforms. Fair warning ahead of time, there's a couple things you need to know. Publish drive, you need to have a subscription for that. Now, you can go through all the subscription rates and things like that, but I'm gonna leave a link down to a full review video of Publish Drive in their subscription-based format. I know you're allowed to have upwards of one title to upload, but that might be limited to eBooks, so just please go through, watch that video first, and also, Findaway Voices is gonna do a great majority of the heavy lifting. In fact, ACX distributes to two of the avenues. Findaway Voices is gonna cover 41 of the avenues, and Publish Drive is gonna get an additional two avenues. All right, start the clock. Let's go to ACX first. Go to acx.com and sign in. Click add your title in the top right corner. Search for your book by author and title. When you find your book, click this is my book, and then click continue next to I already have audio files for this book and I wanna sell it. Choose your territory rights. I'll leave it on worldwide. Select non-exclusive. This is important. You cannot distribute elsewhere with exclusive. Select the appropriate language for your audiobook. Then click continue. Now you have to agree to the audiobook license and distribution agreement. Then click agree and continue. ACX will use your book description from Amazon. Change this if you want to or have to. Fill out the copyright information, including the print copyright owner, audio copyright owner, the print copyright year, and audio copyright year. Select fiction or nonfiction based on your niche. Now, select the category that best describes your audiobook. Fill in the narrator name and the publisher name. Keep in mind, the publisher is you, not ACX. Feel free to enter any reviews and rewards for this book. Then click continue. Now you have to start entering chapter names. Don't worry if you don't get it right. You can always adjust it in the next page. Click start entering chapter names. You could import the table of contents from Kindle or type it into the box. Either way works. And you can always edit it later before you publish. Once you're done, click save and continue. Now click upload cover art in the top left. This is where you'll drop your cover art. Click browse and select your cover design. Then click open when you find your file. Once the cover shows up, you'll click save. Now scroll down and fill in your chapters by clicking browse. Find the appropriate sound file and click open. Keep in mind, ACX is very strict about their audio standards. The sound file is even slightly off. They'll let you know here. If it's off, get with your narrator and let them know the issue so they can fix it. If you have to replace the file, simply click the action dropdown menu, click replace, then browse, select your audio file and click open. Now repeat the process for the rest of your audio files. Once you're done, scroll to the top of the page, then click I'm done. Then fill in who the title is published by. Click on I understand and confirm all the above and then click on yes, I approve. All set with ACX. You're gonna get an email that's gonna confirm that they pretty much got all that information and then when they have it available to the public, they'll let you know when it's published. Let's head over to Findaway Voices now. Go to findawayvoices.com and sign in. Select new project and then sell existing audio book. Enter the title of your book, then click create. Now fill in your subtitle. Then click the plus symbol in the artwork box on the left. Find your cover file, then click open. Now copy and paste your book description into the large box and format it how you'd like. Now enter your publisher name, then author name, then narrator name, then click save changes. In additional metadata, add in your keywords. I simply use keywords for my KDP books. When you're set, click save changes. Now under classification, choose fiction or nonfiction, then select the reading grade level. Then choose your primary BISAC, this is your category. They have a downloadable list for you and you can simply type in a keyword and it'll suggest categories for your book. Either way works. Once you're set, click save changes. Now enter all relevant ISBN information. If you don't have an ISBN, don't sweat it, just leave it blank. Click save changes once you're set. Now answer, has this audio book ever been available for purchase on any platform before? We'll say no, since it hasn't. If it has, click yes and follow the prompts. Now post the street date for your audio book, meaning when it's available. It's gonna be available right now, of course. Then click save changes. Now fill in the copyright year and select the source copyright owner. That's the original owner of the work, which should be you. Then repeat the same thing for the audio copyright year and owner. Click save changes. Now set your retail audio price. You'll have to do a little research ahead for what is normally charged for your type of audio book. Then enter the library list price. Generally, you'll want to price it two to three times more than the retail price, since it will be lent to numerous readers through a library system if bought. Click save changes, and then click the large save changes button below that. Scroll back to the top, then select distribution. Scroll down and click view detailed list to edit network. You'll need to deselect Audible, Amazon, since ACX will handle that. Scroll down and click confirm selections. Scroll back to the top, then select audio. Scroll down and click the plus symbol for each section to upload your audio files. Once all the audio files are uploaded, click submit audio files. Then click continue to final review submission. Then scroll down to review your metadata. If everything's fine, then submit for publishing. You should get an email from Findaway Voices confirming your upload, but they don't let you know when it's available to the public. You're gonna have to go check out the various marketplaces, so there is that. Let's go to the next platform. That's going to be publishdrive.com and sign in there. Click see books, then click ad book. Select audio in the dropdown and create new audio title. Click browse under cover image and find your cover, then click open. If you have a downloadable PDF you want associated with your title, upload it in the next box. I don't have that. Next, upload your retail audio sample by clicking the browse button in the final box on the right. Find your retail audio sample and click open. Scroll down and click browse in the content files area. You'll want to upload all your audio files here. Don't bother with uploading the sample track here since you already did it before. Okay, I just have to interrupt really fast here. I messed up at one point or another. I should have put in the better chapter titles. You're actually gonna end up hitting the edit chapters button and make sure you're naming it appropriately because otherwise Publish Drive will send it back to you so you fix them and it makes actual sense. Fill in the creator name and add another creator for your narrator. Now copy and paste all your metadata including your title, subtitle, language, and audio book length. If you have an ISBN, then say so here. If not, don't sweat it, just say no. Next, copy and paste your description in the box and format it how you like. Scroll down and select your categories. Simply type in a keyword relevant to your audio book and select up to three categories. Disclose if your audio book has adult content. Then select your target audience. Next, you can enter up to seven keywords. I simply use the same keywords for my KDP eBook. Now enter your audio book pricing and you can adjust all your pricing manually or use the pretty price for all selection. I chose to do it manually. Now select the dropdown for rights. If you wrote the book, select that. If not, choose the appropriate selection. State if you hold worldwide rights for the title. This means do you own this book outright? Choose your publication date. I'm just gonna leave it as today. And now we have to select customized distribution. Since we've already went to ACX and Findaway Voices, our only options are gardeners and eReading. Make sure they have the green enabled box next to them. The rest of the options should be disabled to avoid duplicate publishing. Once you're set, click the publish button in the top right. You'll get an email confirmation from PublishDrive to let you know that they've received all that information. And kudos, you just hit 45 different marketplaces for your audio book. It's gonna take a little bit of time. It's not as easy as doing eBooks and print books because they have to go through and make sure that your audio files are all matching up. Hey, did you enjoy this video? If you did and you wanna learn more about publishing books that sell, make sure of course that you subscribe to this channel, ring the bell notification on so that way you don't miss a single one of these videos. And hey, find out why I love Findaway Voices so stinking much, why I just enjoy it with every ounce of my being. I actually talk about it in this entire video series right down below where I interview the team from Findaway Voices, head of Findaway Voices. I go into their actual warehouse and headquarters. What are you waiting for? I'll see you in this very next video.
