[00:00:00] Speaker 1: Hello to everyone tuning in live. My, my name is Kendall, I am the head of community here at Riverside. And we have a very special session for you all today. The first of its kind. I mean, at least since I've been here, maybe you guys did this before I came here. I don't know. Nadav, maybe that's one of my questions. Start.
[00:00:17] Speaker 2: Fun fact, we used to do this weekly in the community, in the Facebook community. Then I joined.
[00:00:24] Speaker 1: And then I joined. So we're going to be doing an AMA with our CEO Nadav here. We also have Alon from our marketing team. I'm Kendall, the head of community here at Riverside. And so we're going to start with an AMA to get all of your questions answered. And then we are going to dive in to a live demo of some of the recent features that we've introduced with Riverside 2.0. So it's a way to get your questions answered generally about Riverside and then a way to get your questions answered about any of the features that we've released lately, because there has been a lot. With that, I think I'll be monitoring the chat for some questions. But Alon, if you want to start off with our AMA.
[00:01:08] Speaker 3: Thanks for setting us up. So really, we're gonna give the audience a few minutes to get their questions rolling in the chat. And while we're waiting for the questions to come in, I think it would be really cool to hear if you can tell us like the backstory of Riverside. How did you get into the world of remote recording software?
[00:01:26] Speaker 2: Yeah. So yeah, great to be here. So basically, Riverside was built by me and my brothers, my two brothers. And before Riverside, we had this, I'm from the Netherlands originally, and we had this online video debate platform for politicians. So actually, what we would do is we built this whole platform where politicians could come online and debate each other with video. And we had some really big names on our platform. Even the current Minister President debated on our platform. And it was great, we really got a lot of traction doing that. Weekly people will tune in and ask questions live to these politicians. But we never really hit like a point of like people would come to our platform daily. So we thought like at some point, let's make a pivot. And that was Riverside. So instead of us hosting these debates, we allowed anyone to create video. But then we thought we really want to offer this quality aspect as well. So then we invented this new way to record video, which is local recording. And actually, we're the first in the world to do that for video. So super exciting. And it was also like two weeks before COVID when we launched that. So it was like the perfect storm, COVID happened, we got a lot of excitement around our platform and really solved a big pain point. And ever since we've been building out Riverside, and our vision has really been from the start, how can we create this all in one creation platform and starting recording, but expanding more and more from there, basically.
[00:02:54] Speaker 3: Yeah, so I think it's really interesting to hear how you started from solving one specific thing that you were personally like really interested in, then you realized it could solve a need for a lot of people. And fun fact, I was a Riverside early adopter. It's true. Yeah, I remember, I remember. Yeah. And so I was really in that wave of people in content in 2020, thinking like, how on earth are we going to continue making content now? Right. And Riverside was the perfect answer. So that's really cool. Next question I'm going to ask is actually a question that's already rolled in from the audience. And that's how will you be integrating AI like chatGPT into Riverside in the future?
[00:03:35] Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, we already are heavily leaning into AI. What's really important for us is that we're trying to really solve users problems with AI. So not just say, hey, we are AI first and basically just having AI slop. So the way we're leveraging AI, even before the whole AI hype cycle, we were already using AI, for example, to help you in your workflow editing video. So a very useful feature that we have is text based editing, where you can remove the text and also edits the video. So that's like an example of like, it's not the most flashy AI, but very useful. So we're always solving things from like thinking, how can we actually really help our users? So ever since we launched that, of course, we've done a lot, a lot more. So obviously, with magic audio, I think people really, really love magic audio, where you can without having a decent mic setup, like we have now sound very professional. We have the whole co creator where you can talk to our agent and create an edit video without even knowing how the timeline works. You can use that whole agent. We have a lot of these other tools, right filler word removal, smart mute, tons of these features where we are really helping you. We have a lot more coming. Maybe I can give you guys some actually no notices yet. But we're also launching an AI playground where you can use any of the existing models out there to generate any video. So think about if you want to use for example, Seedance 2.5. You can also use it on Riverside as well. That's going to be live very soon, actually probably in a week or so. So we're really heavily leaning into AI and really trying to not just make AI say slap AI on top of it and call it a day, really trying to solve problems, solve our users problems with AI. And I'm very excited to lean more and more in depth. And ultimately, having our users only focus on the things they like to do. So that's kind of how we are thinking about it.
[00:05:26] Speaker 3: I think that also really touches on something that we talk about internally, when we are building marketing, thinking about AI features within the platform. And that's really the conversation that's happening right now in the space about this tension between, you know, AI and human creativity. And as a platform for a lot of creative people, I wonder how you're thinking about that tension and where sort of Riverside places itself.
[00:05:54] Speaker 2: Yeah. So I think like, where I see the future is not necessarily only non AI generated content and or only fully AI generated content. I think these lines are blurring. That said, I think actually, increasingly demand for real human content is going to go up. So as people are only going to want more and more really this human led content. That said, I think like, there are very useful features, for example, like video dub, which if you make a mistake, you can just edit afterwards, the whole video, but it's still you, who originally talked or maybe the way you sound, you don't really actually like so you can still manipulate that. So I don't really believe it's going to be fully AI or fully real. I think these lines are blurring. But definitely, for conversation specifically, I think conversations will stay and remain. But for example, if you're recording alone, AI can maybe totally help you generate your whole video as well. Or at least maybe you do your first take yourself, but then our AI helps you do the retake very nicely without this, you don't need to do a retake anymore, basically.
[00:06:58] Speaker 3: Yeah. So it's also it's about making creators lives easier in the places where they want it to be easier. Yeah. And also about you know, us not yet knowing what's going to be possible and where AI is going to go and take people and so really being part of that journey. Another question that we're getting is are there any new features that are coming out soon that we can share? So you talked about AI?
[00:07:18] Speaker 2: Yeah, talked about AI playground. We're really making the agent much better. So an editor, the agent is becoming much better. We have a lot of really, really cool stuff coming happening for clips, clips are getting much, much better. They're already pretty good, but they're going to be even better. So I'm very excited about that. We have a lot coming, to be honest, we also launched already a lot. But I think the most exciting things that are going to come are really going to blow everyone away. And I still want to keep that secret for now. I can give some sense of directions, obviously high level, but I think clips are going to be really cool. Like I said, in person recording, we're making in person much better. If you haven't tried in person on our Mac app, I really highly encourage you to try that all out. Motion graphics, I don't know if you've tried motion graphics in the editor, motion graphics are getting much better. We already have it in the editor, super cool, use it, try it, give us your feedback. That's that. Live streaming, I can tell you guys as well, live streaming has already gotten pretty good. But we also recently launched scenes, which is like the final feature for us to really be live streaming first solution as well. So I'm very excited about that. And we're going to continue making live streaming amazing. So yeah, a lot of really cool stuff already happened and is happening and a lot more to come.
[00:08:41] Speaker 3: Yeah, and I just want to shout out that this is also the first time since we launched our in person multicam recording, that we're hosting webinar and streaming live with our multicam setup. So it's also an exciting milestone.
[00:08:54] Speaker 2: That's awesome. Yeah, for sure. Yeah. I'm really proud that we are using Riverside for this kind of use case as well. It shows like Riverside is no longer just a recording platform, it goes far beyond recording, you can do webinars, you can do editing, you can do, you can host your podcast or podcast hosting, you get with a whole social media planner. So it's really become this all in one platform where people can come to create video. So very cool to see the Riverside evolving.
[00:09:18] Speaker 3: One of the things that we say often is that we listen to user feedback. And being on the inside of the company, I really see how that is implemented across the board in all domains and across all different types of roles. But I think it would be interesting to share with our users how we kind of decide which feedback, obviously, we get a lot, how do we decide which feedback to listen to and to act on and to prioritize?
[00:09:46] Speaker 2: Yeah. So first of all, I think it's really good for you all to know we have this feedback channels throughout the product, some of them get annoyed by them, because we have so much pop ups or feedback that it's like, we're literally asking for every part of the product, we're asking for feedback. And the whole team that's responsible for that feature is gets all that feedback. And I'm also in those channels. So we are literally going one by one of these feedback channels and seeing what is the common themes? And what is really hurting our users? And what can we do better? So that's kind of how we listen to it. And of course, we lose, we look at support, we look at our community, the Facebook group is part of that candle is flagging things. We have, we're really trying to make sure that we are keeping super close to our users. So the way we prioritize is, it's a matter of like, okay, how often is something being said? Do we believe it's it fits our future vision? Right? This is something we want to continue investing in? Do we believe this is where the future is going? It's a combination of that. And trying to really, every day make the product better. So basically, it's a combination of impact and how often something is being mentioned. And we try also not to only prioritize the big things, but also small things that can really help the day to day lives as well.
[00:10:59] Speaker 3: Yeah. And I can tell we're all getting, we're already getting a lot of ideas for some of those things in the chat here. So we'll share those with you. Of course, some now and some when we're done. But one question that we're already getting is what is the best way to provide feedback?
[00:11:12] Speaker 2: So I think the best way is first of all, in the community is a great way. In the product, you have those feedback, feedback prompts. I don't know if you've seen them, we have them in this editor, we have them in the studio, we have them basically throughout the whole product. Yeah, we're monitoring everything. So wherever it's easy for you to be honest, it will be seen. So any of these channels is fine. Talk to Kendall.
[00:11:36] Speaker 3: Yeah, honestly, yes. Also in the Facebook community group, not only Kendall, a lot of us.
[00:11:41] Speaker 2: Yeah, everyone is there. I'm there as well. Although I'm not always replying, I'm definitely checking what people are saying. So yeah.
[00:11:48] Speaker 3: Some of the feature requests that we're getting live on air is someone said one new feature I'd love to see is voice tracking in the teleprompter.
[00:11:55] Speaker 2: Yeah, that's coming. So in the coming four weeks, we'll have that live.
[00:12:01] Speaker 3: That's very exciting. Yeah, very timely question. Yeah, we're also getting questions around. I mean, I obviously we're not going to be able to have specific concrete answers for these but things like podcast hosting through the MCP. If that's something that's on the roadmap.
[00:12:17] Speaker 2: That's on the roadmap. What's also on the roadmap is publishing video to Spotify. We hope to get it live very soon. Perfect. Because that's another question we got. Okay, awesome. Yeah.
[00:12:25] Speaker 3: Seems like you have your finger on the pulse of what our users care about. Also people I'm just letting you know, people who want to see more customization for podcast pages. Yeah. Multicam for other platforms, things like that.
[00:12:39] Speaker 2: Multicam. What does that mean? Multicam for other platforms?
[00:12:41] Speaker 3: Like in person mode for other platforms.
[00:12:43] Speaker 2: So except for the Mac app, basically. Yeah. So there's some limitations we have in the browser, but we definitely hope to bring this to more platforms, including the browser and including potentially a Windows client. But for now, the Mac app is really, really cool. I really encourage everyone to try in person on the Mac app. We also, by the way, rebuilt our whole mobile app. I didn't talk about that so much. If you are into clips, and if you want to use if you want to edit on the go, the mobile app is really becoming amazing. So I encourage everyone to try out the mobile app as well. We've really put a lot of love in that and a lot more to come there.
[00:13:18] Speaker 3: So maybe with all of these sort of feature questions and requests coming in, I want to ask you a more personal question. And that is if you have a favorite feature in Riverside.
[00:13:30] Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I think VideoDop is super cool. So it's the ability, you just change the text and then your lips are synced. I don't know if anyone has tried it recently, but it became super, super good. I think it's really good because so basically, if you make a mistake, if you want to do something again, I think that's cool. The agent is although a lot more to come to the agent, the agent they really is actually my favorite features is maybe the rough cut or AI suggestions on the timeline. If anyone has seen the suggestion of timeline, they're really, really spot on the suggestion that we're giving you there. And I think this is a really cool feature because it's basically the AI is giving the suggestions but you as a user are still in control. And that's a great way of how we think about the product. Like you're always in control, but the AI is here to give you suggestions and make your life make your life as a user easier. So I think that's like my favorite feature where I think the AI itself is doing an amazing job and giving you suggestions of what to remove and you're still in control. So I really love that.
[00:14:32] Speaker 3: Alright, so I think we're gonna close it off with one more question. And that is, you talked a lot about specific features that are coming out and how you're thinking about, you know, the concrete roadmap of the next few weeks and months. But really at a high level, can you share with us what your vision is? How do you see Riverside going in the future?
[00:14:54] Speaker 2: Yeah, so Riverside wants to be the place where the most interesting conversations get created, whether that's in person or remotely. So we want to be like, the best place where all interesting conversations get created. And that also means if you want to generate B-roll for your conversation, Riverside should be the place where if you want to generate other assets that are relevant for your conversation, Riverside should be the place. And I think we're really well on track to becoming that place. So that's kind of what we are working towards. That's why we did the in person recording. That's why we're working on more generation features as well. So you can do everything in Riverside, you don't need to go to a third party tool to do your editing, you don't need to go to your third party tool to do your generation, you can do everything in Riverside. And that's what's exciting.
[00:15:39] Speaker 3: Yeah, so if you make if you make content that is about talking, whether it's having a conversation just with your audience, like you and your audience, whether it's having a conversation between a few people, yeah, this should be everything you need.
[00:15:50] Speaker 2: Yeah. And I think what why this is exciting is basically, I think there's like two trends happening. On one hand, there's like this TikTokification of all content. So there's like, basically, you open TikTok, and maybe you're scrolling, and you barely remember what did you just watch. Nothing against that. But we are a bit more like this thought leadership kind of content focused. And of course, you can still go from that thought leadership content to short content. But that's where our focus lays a bit more. So I think this is really one of the best way to connect to your audience. And I'm pretty excited about the fact that Riverside is really becoming the place where that type of content is being created. That said, of course, if you want to go from clips and promote your podcast or your long form, we should be the best place to do that as well.
[00:16:36] Speaker 3: For sure. And you're saying just to sort of add one more thing, you're saying the place where this kind of content should be created. I think we recently saw that we surpassed 45 million recordings that have taken place on Riverside already. So that's quite a lot of content that's already being created. Awesome. Well, I want to thank you very, very much for joining us. Is there anything one last thing you want to say to our audience?
[00:17:02] Speaker 2: No, I mean, maybe last thing is that really a privilege to building the amazing product for you all. Keep giving your feedback. And we hope to make your lives as a creator easier. And yeah, that's it. All right. All right. Thank you. Thank you.
[00:17:17] Speaker 3: This has been fun.
[00:17:18] Speaker 1: Yeah, thank you both. This was a great conversation. I'm glad to have been listening in a part of it. So now I'm kind of a one person show. We got a moderator in the chat, but I'm just going to be showing you a few of the things that we've been doing. So first, I want to talk about the studio and the editor in general. I think that a lot of the time we really focus on these flashy, exciting features that we have coming out. And that's great. But really what matters to you in the day to day is the fact that you are using Riverside to record and to edit and you need it to be working fast and reliably for you. So some of the things we've been working on behind the scenes have been to make the platform we've been rebuilding it from the ground up so that you're not particularly seeing it, but hopefully feeling it. So for example, we've reduced the CPU load. That means that basically it's not as heavy of a recording platform when you're in the studio. So that means that things should be smoother, cleaner, easier to manage, and easier for your computer to handle. Behind the scenes also with the editor, we've made it so that it's more responsive so that when you're scrubbing around, you will be able to, the editor will be able to respond a lot faster to those edits that you're doing. So see, this is hard because I'm like, I'm reading the chat while also doing this. But thank you for the for the camera and lighting shout outs to the people in the chat. I appreciate it. Speaking of camera and lighting, let me talk to you about the studio. So I am going to share my screen. And I am going to warn you, I'm going to turn my camera off in the studio just so that you don't see like two of me. That's too much of me. So I'm over here in our Riverside studio. And I'm going to press record. This should all be pretty straightforward for all of you. I'm going to turn the camera off and the microphone just so again, so that it doesn't conflict with what I am showing right here. Yes, infinite candles. I need to stop looking at the chat. So I am just going to show you here in the studio, that you're able to see that we made that screen a lot bigger right over here. That is because then you're able to actually preview yourself a lot better. You can do a test from your headphones and your microphone. I see john is in the chat and I had a conversation with him earlier and I actually use this feature to be able to test that my headphones are working it plays a fun little song in your ear. Besides that, I'll turn this camera back on infinite candles. Just to show you that over here we have this new effects panel. We've always had, I'll turn this off for a second. We've always had some of the not always, but for a while we've had these background effects. But what we've changed here is that we've really made improvements on the rounding and being able to actually isolate you rather than in the background. So that should be an improvement. I will say that for the best backgrounds, if you have the Mac app, it's really incredible how well the backgrounds look there as far as contouring. But we've made improvements there. And you see this appearance tab. So now we have studio touch ups, you can click any of these on and do subtle or have a more touched up look. And then you can change your face lighting and your studio lighting. So for those people who complimented my studio lighting, you will be able to get something like that for yourself through this button over here. But let's join the studio. What you will see right over here on this studio, my favorite thing that you'll notice is the media board because Nadav was talking about feature requests, and we heard you, you wanted improvements to the media board. So let's talk about them. Over here, you'll now find that it's filtered by videos and images versus sounds and music. One big update here is that you can now put images. So before it was just video, and it was capped much lower. But now you can actually do video up to one gigabyte. So a big improvement there. And you can also put in images, you can display them on screen. So for example, if I wanted to take this, I can have that mentioned when we talk about studio tap because somebody play right over here. You can also have some music that you want to put up, maybe it's intro music that you have. And these are all going to be separate tracks when you go into your editor later. So it's much easier to edit. So this video I just played will be its own separate track, sound effects as well. So if you want to have clapping or any kinds of sound effects, you'll also see I'll zoom in right here, you'll see that you get numbers here as well. So if you really want to have a shortcut, every time I press one, it'll be clapping. I know a few shows that really have a lot of fun with sound effects. And it really helps kind of with the humor of of the like the podcast. So I would definitely try that out. But that is definitely a new feature that we have here. So that's really the media board. And then if I'm pressing record, which I might not do right here, because I'm recording in the studio. But if I were to press record, you know the marker button. And if you don't, it's actually my favorite thing to use when I'm recording. If you press the marker on your screen, or you press the letter M, that's a shortcut, it will create a marker for you. So a few ways that you could use a marker. One of them is, let's say that I have a really great moment from my interview, and I know I want
[00:23:02] Speaker 3: to make a clip, I'll mark that. Another is a few weeks ago, I
[00:23:06] Speaker 1: was feeling a little bit sick. And I kept I was doing a solo recording, and I would stop and cough, and then I would kind of keep going. So every time I would cough, I'd mark it with an M. That way, I knew that I could go through and just clean it up really quickly. But now instead of kind of taking guesswork and trying to understand what exactly is the marker for, you can now add comments to your markers. So that means that I could say coughed here or a great quote, and just type it really quick. And that note that I write will be reflected in my editor afterwards. So that is really how markers are going to be improved now with those comments. And I will also just tease that it's one way that we're working towards also live edits. So if you want to make changes while you're recording and be able to have those reflected in your edits, just to save you editing time, we hear you. And that's something that's kind of a one of the many steps that we are implementing to take you there. So that is the studio. I will say that as far as the editor, we do have a full live session of the editor that we did. So I'm not going to jump too much into the editor. I'm going to put that in the chat right now. And you could see our live walkthrough. And it's also just available at riverside.com slash webinars, you'll find it as one of our recent ones. And I'm going to just show you a little bit of an overview of our editor. So let me just go into create and this is our business editor session from yesterday. And a few of the things that you're going to see over here. Basically, you're going to see that we have new navigation on the side, it makes it a lot easier to just find your magic hooks, your clips, just be able to jump from one edit to the other. That's been really helpful. You'll also find this new assets button. So we're going to talk about newsletters later. But you're actually able to jump into this newsletter that's already generated based on your recording right here. And it's not just a standalone text that you kind of take and run with, you can still go through and make live edits right over here. So that is already generated for you automatically now every time that you record. But let's say that you don't want some of this stuff. You can go over to this personalized tab right here. And this has been a huge community request. So I'm really excited about this one. You all wanted to basically have a say in what's being generated for you and what's not. So you're now able to toggle on and off things like the magic clips, or maybe I don't want a magic episode made for me. Maybe for magic clips, I want to expand it and choose exactly what I want my magic clips to be like 30 to 60 seconds, if I want pauses removed, that kind of stuff. And I love magic hooks. So I'll keep those on show notes newsletter over here. But a really cool thing down here is during like episode title, for example, let's turn that on. I'm going to expand. And I already wrote instructions in here. Like I start all of my episodes with a title number and a guest name like episode one, Kendall Brightman. And so you can give it instructions right there saying yes, I want you to generate this for me. But here's exactly how I want you to generate. I will say that like every AI tool, the more specific you are, the better it'll be. So just take a few minutes and really go through and make sure that everything is exactly how you'd like it. It's a little bit of work in the beginning that will save you a lot of time later. Over here also under brand, we added a few new features like you can add multiple logos, you have a preview over here. So I'd also take some time if you have not to update your branding or make sure you have that brand kit, because then you could just press apply brand, I'll show you over here. Let's go to this edit. When you go over to brand, you could just press apply and it'll do the captions in the way that you want the text in the way that you want all of that. Beyond that, we have a few hidden features. Let's start with the timeline. So as you know, timeline, or sorry, transcript, you can just kind of edit like a doc, you can copy and paste it if you'd like. But now you can also highlight it and say that you want to hide it from captions. So I say so a lot. And now that I've told you that you will hear it that I say it all the time. Here's a so so I will have that here. And I don't want that to be in my captions. Instead, I can just go over here and do hide from captions and it keeps it audibly like I'm still going to say it and I'll still be in my video, but I could hide it from my captions. There were a few questions about video dub before about what that is. And basically video dub is if you make a mistake while you're recording, maybe you said the wrong thing. Or maybe you said information that needed to be updated, like that there are 25,000 people in our community, but now there are 30 by the time that I release this podcast, I can go in, click here, highlight it and press video dub. And basically it'll make it look and sound like that's what you said in the first place. It'll correct the video and the audio. And now it's actually much better. I tried it the other day and it's it's really incredible what it does. It's per one word but keep your eyes out for some updates over there. And then also it's supported even more languages. So if you've tried video dub, or if you haven't, check it out. Very cool. Another like some other big differences that we have here on the new editor is that everything is really freeform on your canvas, you can, you can drag it around, move it make exactly what you want it to be. Maybe I want myself over here and then Jude over here and then my cover art. Basically, I can just make exactly the kind of video that I'd like and you're not really just limited to layouts. But if you'd like, you can always click a layout and start with it and move it around and do whatever you'd like with that. Maybe I want to over here, I want to add a shadow, I can do that you can really play around with it and customize it, which is very cool. And then down at the bottom, over here on the transcript, you now have scenes as their own kind of swim lane. And you can expand the tracks, you can, let's say that this little part right here is laughter, like but I wanted to seem like I laughed somewhere else, I can pick it up, drop it and put it somewhere else. So I did that the wrong way. I can pick that up and Oh, I try it's because I locked the tracks, unlock it, and then I can pick it up and drag it wherever I want to. So it's just become a much more flexible editor. And I know that I'm really running through this one. And that's because there's a ton to get through. So I would really recommend again, we'll drop it in the chat, our live editor session, if you really want to get into everything that you can now do in the new editor. But, oh, I do have one question, though, that I am going to answer now. Can scenes be templated? So a cool thing is, the answer is yes. Um, what you can do is you can let's make a scene together. So I'll press new scene right here. And I'm just picking a random part new scene right here. And in this scene, I want let's have this I'm just gonna do some random stuff. Let's just I'm just throwing stuff around. Okay, let's say that I love that scene, although it's a little chaotic. I can just press scene right here. And then under I'll press saved and do save current scene. Okay, so I'll save the current scene. Cool, chaotic, fun. I'm going to go to this scene over here. That doesn't have what I just what I just designed. You'll see now I can go to scene under saved, you'll see right here, click it. And it applies. So yes, you can templatize your scenes and make them exactly what you want. You can see that I've done a lot of craziness with mine. So yes, that is a very cool new feature. And thank you for saying you're doing great in the chat. I appreciate it. Great. One other thing that I want to show you that's in the new editor and it I've also mentioned this is over here we have motion graphics. So basically what those are are animations that you can put on screen. And right now we have a bunch of templates that you can choose from and then you can make it your own. So let's say that I want to have here's a subscribe button. I'll click on this. And over here, you'll see it because I go video, let me zoom in. Maybe that'll be easier for you all to see. And you can now see that it'll show you a preview of that motion graphic. But that's not exactly how I want it to look. So I'm going to say change the name to Kendall Brightman. And give me 1 million subscribers because that's just how life works. Just give me that. If I wanted and I wasn't doing a live session right here. You could also add a new picture because obviously that's not me. Although maybe I am sunny highlights. Just press this sorry. And now it's going to generate so it's going to take a few minutes to generate a few seconds just because we're doing this live. But then it will create a motion graphic for me that I can put right on top of my video and it'll act. There we go. Kendall Brightman 1 million subscribers. See how easy it is guys just get 1 million. So then I'm just going to go to the end of my timeline where it's hopefully just me. Oh, it's because I made this chaotic little scene. Okay, so I'm going to do add to timeline. Hold on, you're going to see that I'll add right where I have my cursor right here. And then we'll act as its own video overlay. So I can change how long it stays on screen, I can change the size of it, and really just customize it so that it looks really engaging. So other ways to use this is name tags for your guests if you really want them to pop those subscribe buttons, you could even like create your own kind of here, you can see right here, you could even create your own kind of intro graphic flying out if you want to do that. So that is new motion graphics. And it is super cool. So that is something that we've been working on. And then when you're done, you could press export, something cool that you'll notice is that you used to have to do export sends you an email, then you can go on with the process. Now, you just have this download button. So when it's ready, it'll be downloaded, it'll start downloading to your computer. So that is definitely a really cool little step that we that we took away. Another thing that you could do is you can embed your episodes if you have if you have a website or something like that, or publish them if you're using hosting. Another thing you can also do is share directly to social channels, the ones that you have connected, and we're going to talk about show social, social sharing in a second. Actually, if you didn't notice, let me let me show you this again. In case you didn't see while we were on here, I'll give you a preview just for being on just for being on this webinar. And just because we love you. If you scroll in, if you zoom in, what you'll now see, and I'm very excited about this one, is that you will now see that the transcript is also on your timeline. So it makes it really easy. For example, I like made a hook where I sliced a bunch of different parts together. And instead of having to rewatch every chunk, I now could see just by a glance, okay, this is the part where they talk about this. But it's also really useful if you want to take out, maybe I had like a little bit of a stutter right here. I can mute that. So I'll mute myself here. So very, very cool. Yes, I'm excited that everyone in the in the chat is excited about this because very, very cool. I've been you know, as as a somebody that works at Riverside, I get to have these features first. And I have been so so excited about this one. So that's great. And again, while I'm here, I'm going to show you one more cool thing, which is that if you split the timeline, so you can see here, I'm speaking much lower than Judah, I can just do a little Oh, let me actually I'll do it here. I'll split, and I'll split. And then I'll click these three dots. And I can raise the volume of just that part. So if you're like me, and sometimes you start talking, and then you realize that your mic was really low for half of your podcast. Now you can isolate just one part and raise the volume. So another very exciting thing. Yeah, I can't believe I didn't show you guys that in the beginning. All right. Now we're on to newsletters. The idea here is that as creators, you're being asked to make a bunch of stuff. So you're being asked to if you want to grow, you need a like everyone to kind of add something every day. So you need your podcast, but you also need to make a bunch of clips. And it's great to have a website and a newsletter and all of that. And we realize that there's a huge load being put on all of you and not more hours in the day. So what we are adding now is this newsletter feature. So I'll walk you through how to create one. So you're just going to press on that newsletter button, create new newsletter. And let's say that this is about my workshop. So this is the creator, community, workshop, everything you need to know. Great. So put a better description, but you know, bear with me. So I'm going to create that very easy, took a second. And what this will now end up doing is let's, I'll generate a file, you can either create your own newsletter from scratch, or you can the cool part about Riverside is that it will take your recording and generate one for you. So let's say that I want to do it on this new editor session that I talked about. And I'm going to go to exports just because I know that that's my, the finished version of that episode. And I'm going to click that. And this will take a second to generate, but when it is done, wow, quick. So you'll see that it generates a whole newsletter for you based on your recording. So it makes it really easy, you can go through and edit it, you can add images, you can see that it already pulled out some bullet points for me, it also made out these like block quotes. So it really styled it already. But let's say that I want to add a divider line. Let's say that I want to embed a video in here, I could just click Insert video. And maybe I want to put a magic clip from the session. It's very cool, you could just create your own newsletter here. And then I want to show you what it looks like. So this is a newsletter that I created. If you aren't subscribed, it's the Conversation Creators by Riverside newsletter. And basically, I give creator tips, I'm gonna put this in the chat, subscribe. Basically, it is a newsletter for creators on ways to grow a new way to grow every month. But what you'll see is that beyond having this and being able to click in and look through previous newsletters, the cool part here is that you can press subscribe right from here, or you can subscribe from here. And then on Riverside, you will have a full list of your subscribers. If you already have an email list, you can also import it using a CSV file. And so you can put all of your subscribers in one place. So that is newsletters. And then I'm trying to make sure that we got enough time, I'll quickly show you the content planner. Right over here under planner, you're able to it's a full, a full calendar for you. You can connect however many studios you have, if you have multiple. And another cool thing is that you can connect your you can sync with your Google Calendar. So you're able to go over to sync and you can sync with your Google Calendar, which is very cool. So if you make a session, it'll show up on your Google Calendar. Another thing that you can do over here is you can press schedule. And let's do social media posts. I can select the file, maybe a magic clip. And this has me to export it, you'll have to export the video before you do that. But once I do, I can write the caption right from here or have it generated. And as long as anywhere that I connected my platforms, I can push it out either live or if you have a grow account or higher, you can also schedule that as well. There's a lot to run through. So the last thing that I will say is that we've also made a bunch of updates to mobile. So what we've done there is if you especially if using a iPhone for right now, but we are pushing these updates to Android very soon, we have a new clips tab, you can scroll through your clips, leave comments on those clips. And then those comments will show up in the browser later, if you want to do some editing, you could also do some editing with the co creator right from your phone. So if you have an iPhone, that's all available right now. And we have videos about it on our YouTube channel, but it's also coming to Android. And you're probably like, wow, there are so many things that you're telling me about. And I am going to say that we have a brand new you're the first people that we're sending it to a new what's new product update page where we are posting all of our new updates as they come a little walk through video a little bit information to get you get you going. But it should help keep you up to date because we know we got a lot we got a lot we're throwing at all of you. So that who is a run through? Yay. Cool. Um, so that was a lot. But I'll take some of the questions. I'm excited to hear what you all think. Yay, we got some thumbs up. Will you be adding Android for in studio recordings? So right now, if you want to do in studio, it might be a little bit difficult to set up. But you can use the Android your Android phone as a second camera. We have a few questions about newsletter. And I will say that this is our kind of like version one of newsletters. So with Riverside, for any of you who've been with us for a while, you'll know that we kind of we start out and then continue to add new features. So things like the donation bases and being able to export and all of that. Those are all things that we'd love to hear your feedback on. And we download these chats and send them to our product team after we're finished. So keep those feet that that feedback and those requests coming, because that is going to be how we kind of build out the future of this product. Can you give me advice on how to tell my guests recording is all if my guest recording is all loaded one time I had to wait 15 minutes after we ended the session. So here's the thing with get with after you're finished recording. This really depends on the internet speed of your guests. So if they are on weak internet, there is unfortunate that we can do to speed up that process of them if it uploading to the cloud. What we do though, is you'll notice that once you join a session, it'll open another tab. So they don't have to necessarily stay in the studio with their camera and microphone on, they can close the tab and there should be another tab open that kind of has a progress bar that'll show them. So you could either do that, you could send them to riverside.com slash upload, and they can upload their file whenever they have time, as long as it's from the same computer and the same browser that they used to record. And on top of that, you are able to look one thing that I would just say is that whenever I'm finished recording, it never it's never admittedly taken me 15 minutes. But I'll just stop and say like, Hey, so how was that for you? How were like, how was the session for you? Do you have any questions for me? Do you have any links that you want me to share in the show notes, so you can really have conversation to make sure Okay, now your file is uploaded. Thank you so much. So that's just the way that I do it. Okay, somebody had asked, when you change the audio volume independently, like you showed us doesn't magic audio do the same. So I want to talk about three different kind of audio tools. One of them is magic audio. So the idea there is that it will clean up your audio for you. So that is less about volume and more about the quality of the audio. Let's say that somebody recorded using their MacBook, and it's not that they don't have a great microphone on their MacBook, it's going to clean up the quality of it for you, but not necessarily focused on volume. So instead, the volume that I showed you before, that's obviously just focused on volume. Another thing that we have is smart mute, it's under your AI tools. And what that does is it whenever somebody is not speaking, it'll mute their track for them. And so for example, I had a guest on one time that had a fan going on in the back, but I didn't want that to affect my audio. So what it did was it muted that track whenever they weren't speaking. And so I had clear audio on my side. And then for them, I use magic audio to clean up their audio to get rid of that fan sound as much as I could on their end. So that's kind of a example of magic audio smart mute use at the same time. Somebody asked, can you take a picture of your setup and share it with us after? Yes, I'm very proud of this setup. And it was actually somebody else who did the technical but I will brag for a second and say that I built these IKEA shelves, and they're being held together by a stool on the side, because I did not build them properly. I want to just make sure that you see that if you're not part of the community, I'm going to send that to you here. Because if you have questions after this, or you just want to be inspired by other people's work and supported by 30,000 other creators, we have a really incredible community. In that in our Facebook group, we also have more options coming soon for anyone who's not using Facebook. And so you will be able to, to be able to converse with people in the community, inspire each other, get help and support. And it's also where we announce new features, too. So I always do tutorials on new features there as well. I think that's it for the questions that the moderators haven't answered. With that. Oh, what we have, what's the discord community. So the discord community we have as well, although our team isn't as active. So if you really want, our team is really monitoring the Facebook community, and we will have more communities coming soon. So with that, I do just want to say thank you so much to everyone who joined us live and asked your questions. I really appreciate you taking the time. And I would love to see you in our community, we put the chat in there, or we put the link in there. And I would love to see what you create. So tag us we really do as a team, share it with each other. We're really excited when we see what you're creating. And I hope that the editor and all of the new features with Riverside 2.0 is going to help you create even better, faster and more professionally. So thank you all so much for your time and see you next time on our next AMA if they invite me back
