+1 (831) 222-8398Speaker 1: Hey everyone, my name is Tim. Today I'm going to show you how you can add subtitles to a video on Mac. All right, for this video, we're going to use a VLC player to add our subtitles to our video. First to get started, we're going to import our video to the VLC player and then we're going to add an SRT file to it. If you want to know how to create an SRT file, please stay tuned. I'm going to explain to you later in this video. All right, so first let's get started. We're going to open a new project. We're going to open media. We're prompted to choose a video file to import. We're going to click on browse and select the video you want to import and you want to add subtitles to. In this case, it's this video. I'm going to click on open. And after that, we're going to select our subtitle file. To make this happen, check mark add subtitle file, click on choose, and then click on browse. Then from your desktop, select the subtitle file you want to add. In this case, it's an SRT format. I'm going to click on it and click on open. In this little menu, you can actually manipulate the parameters and the font properties. For instance, the font size, subtitle alignment, and encoding. In this case, I'm going to just keep it as it is because I'm already satisfied. And I'm going to click on okay. And now we imported our video file and our subtitle file, and we're going to click on open. And when we play the video, as you can see on the bottom, the subtitles are added to the video. Awesome day. Please give a thumbs up if you liked this video and see you next time. However, you need an SRT file for this. So if you want to create your own SRT files and your own subtitles, I've got a very interesting auto transcribing tool for you that you can use online. All right, to get started, head over to your browser and simply type in the URL box, edit.new. You can also click on the first link in the description. So now we're in Veed's online video editor and we will use this to add subtitles to our video. So now we're prompted to upload our video. So to make this happen, click on upload a file, select the video you want to add and click on it, and then click on open. And after a short moment, your video will be imported and uploaded into the editor. To add subtitles to our video, we're going to use the auto subtitle tool. To make this happen, click on subtitles in the left menu, then choose auto subtitle, select the language you're speaking in your video, in this case, it's English, and then click on start. Now the tool will automatically transcribe your audio to text and turn into subtitles. And this can take a moment depending on the size of the video and the wifi speed. All right, now, as you can see, the video has subtitles. We're going to play it back for a little bit. Hello, everyone. My name is Tim. Thank you so much for watching this video. I hope you're having an awesome day. Nice. Now we can edit the subtitles. As you can see on the left, you can see all the text boxes. It's very easy. You can simply just change all the words and you can even add more subtitles if you like, but it's not needed now because we auto transcribed. So it's pretty accurate already. And if you head over to the bottom timeline, as you can see, all the subtitles are portrayed there. You can extend them, shorten them. You can reposition them. You can split them, delete them, add more subtitles, whatever you like. For now, I'm just going to extend all the subtitles because I think that looks very clean. Let's have a look. Hello, everyone. My name is Tim. Thank you so much for watching this video. I hope you're having a- Yeah, nice, nice. All right, let's say you want to export and download an SRT file from this specific video. It's done very easily. Simply head over to options in the subtitle menu. And then on the download subtitles, you can choose your preferred format. You can choose SRT, VTT, and .txt. In this case, we're going to choose SRT. We're going to click on it and click on the little download icon on the right. Now your Mac downloaded the SRT file and you can find it in your downloads folder. All right, let's say you want to burn the subtitles into the video and export it like that. We might as well just redesign the subtitle designs. To make this happen, click on styles in the subtitle menu. You can change the font style, the font size, the color, the background color. You can reposition and rotate your subtitles. Just try something yourself and create something you're happy with. If you're satisfied and you want to export your video with subtitles, simply head over to export in the right top corner. Then choose your preferred render settings. I'm going to choose HD. Make sure burn subtitles is enabled so the subtitles are in the video. And then click on export video. Once the video is rendered, you can watch your video back on the left. Hello everyone, my name is Tim. Thank you so much. And as you can see, the subtitles are in there. You can share your video with your friends and colleagues. You can put them on your socials. You can embed your video. You can email your video. But for now we want to download the video. So to make that happen, click on the download button, select download MP4. And now our Mac downloaded the video to our device. All right. Thank you so much for watching. Good luck and have a nice day.
