Speaker 1: In this video, I'd like us to talk about the five best automatic transcription software for multiple languages. And I'll include a free application at the end, if you're on a budget, or you want to try it out. Now, links to everything will be included in the description below. And I've already covered some of these applications or AI powered tools before. Therefore, in depth tutorials to these applications are available in the description box below. Number one of the least is Descript. Descript recently introduced multilingual transcription. And for the purposes of this video, I'd like us all to understand that the capabilities or the functionalities of these particular applications are different. Not that much but whatever application you choose may work best with your audio files or your video files that you want to automatically transcribe or even translate. Some have the translation features, some don't. Some have extra features that you might need for your business that others don't have. So for example, Descript recently introduced or updated and now support up to 23 languages, which is pretty awesome. So you can just try everything out. Catalan, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch etc to the end. And they do have the Hindi language in beta. So you can also test that out. The only thing they don't have or support at the time of recording this video is the functionality to translate your transcripts, which really will come in handy once that is available. That is Descript. Awesome application to edit your videos, podcast etc, create subtitles, supports importing our transcript, and then Descript synchronizes it, you can export it to subtitles etc, export XML files to Premiere Pro, DaVinci, Final Cut, awesome tool. Each tool as I've mentioned, has its own good things that you might need. And also, depending on the way the audio or the speech to text engine they use, some may pick your accents better than the rest. Let's move on to number two, we have Sonix. Sonix supports over 35 plus languages. It's fast, accurate and affordable. You can always try it out. And most of these AI powered tools have at least 30 minutes or some free version of transcription for you to test them out. It's pretty awesome if you can actually just try it out. If you deal in multiple languages, if you're a journalist, etc. And probably some of the things that you'll notice is that it supports automated transcription, automated translation, automated subtitles, which will come in handy, especially if you want to make your content easily accessible to many people around the world. So that is Sonix. Next up on the list is Maestra Suite. And Maestra supports 50 plus languages, automatic transcripts, subtitles, voiceovers. Now, with Maestra, since I've already covered Maestra and links are in the description below, you can actually translate the voiceover into a different language, which is pretty awesome if you want to be inclusive. Remember, it's AI powered. So as I've mentioned, each tool has its own uniqueness. It really depends on what you're looking forward to. So you can see what you can do automatic caption and voiceover. This is the original language target language, you can choose whatever language that you want. And it automatically translates the voiceover to that particular language, which is pretty cool for this particular application. And just know that why are we doing this? Why are we automatically transcribing, save time, money, and also make our content easily accessible. As they pointed out, 85% of Facebook users or videos are watched on mute. 50% of YouTube viewers do not speak English. That's a lot of viewers. And clearly 16% increase in revenue when adding when you add transcripts to your videos. And it's something that you can try it out and see if it works for you. So multilingual caption and voiceover editor. So it all depends on what you're looking for. Any of these can help you out. Next up is HappyScribe. I believe it supports over 50 plus languages, you can always test it out. I tested it out with a Swahili speech to text or Swahili audio, and it did an awesome job. For an AI, it did an awesome job. You can see the language is supported here. And then if you scroll down slightly, probably what I loved about HappyScribe is the caption editor, especially when you want to burn in subtitles to your video really comes out well. I wish Descript would borrow from this particular option, especially if somebody wanted to use not use the fancy captions option in Descript. This really looks good. So you can just scroll down. And you can see all these things support multiple formats to export interactive transcripts. That is Sonix, Descript, they support embedding interactive transcripts on your website. So as I mentioned, it really depends on what you're looking at. So machine translation. And this helps if you want to just create content, let's say it's in English, and then translate it to multiple languages. Now, this is HappyScribe. And if you're a freelancer, you can always get hired as a transcriber or a captioner really depends on what you're into. Next up or last on the list for these paid tools, and you can always try them out before you decide to make a purchase is Trint. Trint supports up to 31 languages, you can turn audio or videos into searchable, editable and shareable content. Now, as I've mentioned before, these are our AI powered tools that you can use to automatically transcribe audio or video files in from multiple languages. And it's pretty awesome to be able to do this. It saves you a lot of time and money and back and forth. If you know a particular language, you can actually just pop up your audio, pop up a video and have it transcribed in record time. They also support translations. Basically, what you need to do is just give it a try, see what you can do. But basically, Trint, HappyScribe, Maestro Suite, Sonix, Descript, they support or they're some of the best automatic transcription software for multiple languages that you can use to transcribe your audio, translate your audio, create subtitles for your videos, pretty awesome tools. I'd like to introduce you to a final tool here and it's free. I believe it works on Windows and Linux. So I'm not sure if it works on Mac, but it is Subtitle Edit. Subtitle Edit, as I've mentioned, in a ton of tutorials I've done on the channel, has grown exponentially. And although this is the beta release, we expect that in version 3.6.5, we'll have the voice to text feature available. And I'll show you how it works. There are a couple of things you need to download FFmpeg, VOSK, Models and all that, but I've already done that. So if I come up with my video loaded here, if I come up to video, and click on video, stroke audio to text, if I click on that, if my audio was in this particular and this is the English US model that I'm actually going to use, and ensure that this use post processing, line merge, fix casing, punctuation and more. If I click on generate, then the VOSK model is actually set up and then automatically it starts transcribing my audio to text. It's a pretty handy tool, especially if you want to speed up your subtitling process inside Subtitle Edit. Now, if you wanted the transcript, you can always export the transcript as a plain text file that you can use, let's say if you want to repurpose it into a blog post, etc. But if you wanted to use it to create subtitles, pretty awesome. Next up, a good feature as we wait for it to finish up is that Subtitle Edit has the option to use the auto translate option. And since this Subtitle Edit is a collaborative effort of different people offering the different inputs, clearly, people that actually if you can actually just just listen to this automatic translation.

Speaker 2: With the recent update on the YouTube interface, it's now easier than before to download YouTube

Speaker 1: transcripts. It's pretty awesome. It's done a good job. If you wanted to auto translate, you can just auto translate, click on auto translate. And then you can decide whatever language you want to translate it to. Let's just try it. So I need to enter the API key and all that. Now, since this is just a tutorial for that, we can see it's already actually doing that for us. Let's see. Let's go back up. It's actually done that. Not bad, not bad, not bad. Looks good. We've already translated. Now, that's why I'm saying that you can try it out, see how it works for you. If you're satisfied, click OK. This is a Spanish text. This is the original text. And then you can go to File, Export, Plain Text. And then you can export whichever you want. Marge lines if you wanted to. Unbreak lines, remove styling, if there's styling, etc. But those are some of the best automatic transcription applications in the market right now that you can use for multiple languages to transcribe, translate etc. I hope this video has been helpful.
