+1 (831) 222-8398Speaker 1: Hey guys, I was recently looking at Facebook, specifically a Facebook group for school PR, and I found this question. Does anyone have a great, easily portable camera setup for video interviewing they would recommend? I actually do, and I'd like to share it with you today. First I'm going to start with the camera. This is the Sony A7C paired with the Sony 35mm 1.8. This is a great pairing for any interview. I've actually created a video that I'll link below about why I think the A7C is the best camera for schools creating videos in 2022. Secondly, I want to talk about audio. I'm currently using the Rode Wireless Go mic, and it has the Rode Lavalier 2 connected to it. Both of these are going into my camera. This is a great option for recording into a camera, recording into your phone even, using an adapter. The wireless technology of it is incredible. The actual transmitter itself has a built-in mic, so you don't have to use a Lavalier, although I do think you get slightly better audio with a Lavalier that I think you can hear yourself. Rode actually has a couple of different versions of the Rode Wireless Go. One is the Rode Wireless Go 1, which I'm currently using. There's also the Rode Wireless Go 2, which has two transmitters. It is slightly more expensive, but it's actually less than if you bought two of the Rode Wireless Goes, and it has some other additional features that definitely can be beneficial. Alright, next we're going to talk about lighting. This is the Amaran 200X. X stands for bi-color. I think this is a great versatile light for multiple reasons. First of all, it's very small and compact. Secondly, it being bi-color allows you to match any kind of lighting you may be in. If you're outside, then you can set it to daylight. If you're inside with maybe some tungsten, then you can set it to that instead. The controls for this light are actually on the back, which can be annoying if you've got the light really high and out of arm's reach, but this light can actually be controlled using an app called the Sidus Link app, and this makes it a much smaller package by leaving the controls inside the housing itself. This light is actually attached to what is called a cheetah stand or an auto stand. I wasn't able to find the actual cheetah stand brand recently. Instead, I found what's called Flashpoint stand. And these stands are just really lightweight, strong, and quick to set up and break down, and very mobile. It's very important when using the Amarand 200X or other lights like it to modify the light itself. So, I would encourage you to purchase some type of light modifier, such as the Light Dome 2 by Aputure. The light itself is very harsh whenever you use it straight out of the box, just as it is. It softens the light significantly and will just make for a much more pleasing look to your overall video. The Amarand 200X actually comes inside of a cardboard box, but inside the cardboard box is this Styrofoam insert. And this insert actually is perfect to separate and protect your equipment when traveling. I use this insert inside of the next bag that I'm going to show you. This bag is the Neewer Studio Trolley Bag. It has wheels on bottom, and is quite large. This container fits perfectly inside this bag, along with the cheetah stand, the soft box, and there's additional room for a small camera bag if you wanted the A7C and lens to live in there. So, that's my recommendation for a relatively easy and mobile setup for your next interviews. If this video has been helpful, then definitely leave a like, subscribe for more. If you have any other questions or other types of videos you'd like to see, then definitely leave a comment below. I'll leave links to all of the items that I've mentioned in the description below. I hope this has been helpful. Thank you for watching and have a great day. See ya.
