The learners utilize their classroom time for exploring and discussing the subject further, interacting with peers, and for clarifying doubts. Now let's look at the benefits of flipped classroom instructional strategy. It allows self-paced learning. The learners can learn at their own pace and convenience before attending the class. It provides time for in-depth learning. The instructor gets more classroom time to delve into in-depth learning. It make learners prepared for learning. The learners are better prepared as they have already studied the content. It ensures better retention. There are no surprises and pre-learning ensures better retention. Flipped classroom strategy works best if the learner is motivated to learn and have all the desired technology or infrastructure to go through the course materials provided before the classroom session. The flipped classroom instructional strategy is especially significant in the wake of the recent COVID-19 pandemic outbreak. As most of the learners are confined to their homes due to the pandemic, they can be provided with the learning materials to learn from the convenience of their homes.
