Speaker 1: So this is one of the biggest transcription companies in the world. And that is 100% true. And you can make up to $3,200 a month. And that would be called clickbait. It's technically true, but it's all about the details. I personally work online. 100% of my income is from online sources, but one online source is usually not enough. So my goal here is to help you cover every single possible online job opportunity that you can take advantage of. Because I want to try and help you make the most money possible in the least time possible. So the site that we will be covering is called Scribee. And as you can see, that is their logo. But first, who really are they? Their website is called Scribee.com. And the company in control seems to be CG Biz Corporation. And on CG Biz Corporation's website, Scribee.com, you can use their tool to find out how much money you can potentially make per month. And just using that tool alone seems to show that you can make somewhere between $400 and $1,600 a month. That is, of course, if you work around eight hours per day. And if you do the maths, you will find the pay to be somewhere around $1.7 to $6.7 an hour, which is, as you may have noticed, significantly lower than the numbers that people often claim. So in my opinion, this is quite cheap. And I don't mean to be unfair towards them. But usually, cheaper things tend to be lower in quality. So for instance, when I was looking at the tool that showed how much you can potentially make per month, I saw what seems to be called a transcriber guide. And underneath, it says that this guide has all details about this job. And I know I'm being a bit nitty-picky, but that is a very blatant grammatical error. And the more grammatical and spelling mistakes I find on the website, the more distrustful I become towards it. And additionally, when I opened their terms and conditions, it said that when you open a Scribee account, they collect your full name, your email address, IP addresses and fingerprint. And I don't really know what a browser fingerprint is, but I can say that it definitely makes me more suspicious to find these types of mistakes in the terms and conditions. But some mistakes are more important than others. For instance, when I searched Scribee on google.com, I did find Scribee, the official site, with this little R in the circle next to Scribee. And I should add that it is possible that CG Biz Corporation did not make their own advertising. Many companies pay other people to do their advertising for them. But regardless of who did it, I do feel that there's something wrong with that R in the circle. Because that R in the circle should mean that this is a registered trademark. Or as far as I know, a federally registered trademark. However, when I searched for them on the United States Patent and Trademark Office, I could find no results, either live or dead. So that does make me suspicious as to whether or not that is truly a registered trademark, at least in the US. I did try to look it up on other databases in other countries, and I could not find any results. But I did go through and look up the CG Biz Corporation on the California Secretary of State website, and I was able to find a result that did have an address very similar to that mentioned on Scribee.com. So the company does seem to have a record, but that's not the only place where it has a record. I also went ahead and checked the Ministry of Corporate Affairs of the Government of India. And over there, I found another company called CGB Solutions. And this company seems to be in Bangalore in India. However, the name is only similar and not exact. So therefore, up until this moment, there's nothing directly linking them. But if you go to the bottom of the record, you will find their email ID. And now if we go back to the website of Scribee.com, we will find a gentleman called Rajiv Poddar. I'm sorry if I butchered that name, but if we scroll to the very bottom, we can see that very same email that was listed on the Indian government's website. And now the question is, why does this matter to us? And the issue is, different countries have different expenses. And if you end up working on a website where the minimum wage is significantly less than that of your country, whatever income you generate on that website might not be enough to actually make a difference in your life. So the question is, what is the minimum that you need? And to look deeper into the amount of money that they can offer, I did go back and look through their own websites. And over there, it says that they had around $3 million in payouts. And since they've been working since 2008, according to their website, and now it's 2022. And therefore, it has been around 14 years, which if we multiply by 12, we get a total of around 168 months. And if we divide that 3 million by 168, we then get $17,587. Now the question is, why am I looking for this number? And the reason is that if the numbers on the website are accurate, or at least close enough to the reality, this means that in total, they have an average around $17,500 a month for all their transcribers. That means that if this was split evenly between just 1000 transcribers, each would only get a little over $17 a month. Only of course, they don't have just 1000 transcribers. In fact, on their website, it says they have 42,000 transcribers globally, which would significantly decrease the amount of money that these transcribers would make because they clearly have a very large supply. But what about the product that they offer to their customers? And as you can see, they seem to only be charging around 76 cents per minute of audio to their customers. And this is just for manual transcriptions, not automated. That means that other human transcribers should be working on these products. And if I was a customer, this is an amazing price. I'd love to get my videos transcribed for this price. But if I were to work as a freelancer on this website, if we take those 76 cents and multiply them by 60 to get the rate per hour, you would get $45.6 per audio hour. Now to change that audio hour into working hour, there are plenty of people who take around 10 times the length of the audio in order to transcribe the audio, especially if you account for time to start, time to look at it, time to get set up and so forth. And I've never heard of anyone taking less than three times the length of the audio to finish transcribing the audio. But if we were generous and decided to give it a factor of five, well, $45.6 an hour would sum up to around $9.12 an hour of actual work. And this is not the rate that you would get paid. This is the rate that the website would get paid from their customers. And of course, naturally, they would like their own cuts. And yes, while different audios can end up costing more and generate more profits, this just gives us a good idea about how much money to really expect from this website. Because yes, they are a legit website. They don't ask for money for you to start working there. And they have a really good payout reputation. But it's just a problem of how much they pay and how much they even can pay. And yes, personally, I have gone for these kind of jobs before. And I've even had side hustles that make less than $3 a month. But I'm not going to lie to you and tell you that that $3 a month was $3 an hour just because all the work that was available was a one hour length of work. The goal of these videos is just to help you get the right information for you to make the right decision based on your circumstances. So please let's not spread misinformation or hype things up unproportionately. And let's help each other out and share this video with anyone that you think that would find this helpful. And if you have a job that you would like me to investigate, please let me know in the comments down below. And of course, please don't forget to like the video to support the video. And I'll see you guys in the next video.
