[00:00:00] Speaker 1: Zoom Slides just released an entirely new presenter view that I think is going to fundamentally change the way that any of us share slide content and connect with our audiences. And I can't wait to show you. Let's jump right in. Here I have a meeting session as a part of a Zoom event, the fake innovation summit. And I have two people who are wanting to present and participate in this event. And Ed, I'm Ed in this case, Ed wants to share slides. Traditionally, he would have to share his desktops one, two, or three, or his specific browser windows, maybe where he has a slide deck loaded. But in this case, he's just going to go to files. These are where all of his Zoom files live. He can share documents and spreadsheets this way. But in this case, we want to share slide content. We're in a we're in a meeting. We want to share slides. When we click share slides, we have the ability to share either presentation mode. That's what we care about here today. Or collaboration mode, we can present or collaborate. Collaborate would allow all of us to be able to manipulate the slides, maybe comment on different elements. Actually, the way my team and I put this slide deck together originally was in collaboration mode. But let's take a look at the new presenter view mode here in Zoom share presentation. There we go. Here's what we are now seeing. Right here in the Zoom window, we are seeing a main slide. This is a slide right now that the rest of the room is seeing. They are not seeing our cursor float around here. They're just getting a nice, beautiful, high resolution image of this slide deck. I have as a presenter the ability to see my slide navigator over here. I see every slide in my deck across the side, sidebar here, and I can navigate through them by just clicking on them if I want. I also have arrows here in my menu bar. There's keyboard shortcuts, the ones we've all kind of been accustomed to. I can use arrows to move through or the return key or the space bar. However, I want to move through my slide content. I can even use B to hide all of my slides if I if I need to. But notice down here at the bottom, I don't just have slide content as a part of this view. I also have presenter notes. My speaker notes are right here with me. These are attached to my slide deck and now they're in a beautiful window right here in my view where I can increase the font size and work off of my speaker notes to make sure I'm sticking to my script. I'm terrible at sticking to my scripts, but that's okay. Not only can I view them here in this window, I can also pop them out so I can actually float them. So if I want to float them around this view, make sure they stick in one specific area. If that's what would help me best present, I can do that or I can pop them out as a new window entirely. And if I pop them out as a new window entirely, what I can do is actually move them to other screens. Maybe I want to put them on my left monitor in this case, or if you're anybody like me, I have a teleprompter screen. So here I can put them up on my teleprompter. I can stare right into my camera and be reading my speaker notes all at the same time. Really, really powerful to have the notes that I need right in front of me at any time. Let's put those back in their place. There are a few more options here in the menu bar. So let's open this up and let's continue to customize this view. You can move the speaker notes around. So they start by default at the bottom, but maybe it's better for them to be on the right of the slide, whatever your setup may be. You can hide them entirely. Maybe you don't, you don't have any, or you don't want to use them. You can hide them or show them. You can turn the slide navigator element on or off as well as next slide. And I think this view is a really, really nice view. I think this is the one I will use the most is being able to have the current slide on and the next slide, whatever's coming up. So maybe I'm talking about my agenda, but at the same time, I can be keeping an eye on whatever my first piece of content is. And yeah, maybe I want them to be kind of equally equally sized or whatever I want. I can slide them back and forth. You get that. I can also add some additional elements here to the menu bar. So maybe I also could use a clock or a timer right here in front of me. So here, I now have a timer that I can pause or reset at any time. So maybe I want to give myself five minutes for this section before I check in on Q and a something like that. Well, there I go right in front of me. I have a timer that I can control while I'm presenting my side. There's slide one, there's slide two on and on. We go really, really, really nice. Two more features. I want to point out before we go, we allow free browsing. So as the host, I can give the rest of the room, the ability to move around the slide deck, however they want. I've allowed that here and people can now take up free browsing on their own, which means they can go backwards in the slide deck or forwards in the slide deck. Maybe my fellow presenters want to move ahead to their section to make sure they're confident with what's about to be shared. Or maybe I have some learners in the room and they want to go back and make sure they caught that, that quote or that staff. They want to really make sure that they have that secure. They can do that by free browsing at any moment. I can eliminate that, take that, take that permission back and not, not allow free browsing. I can also switch this entire view to the next presenters. So most of, most of you are probably familiar with slide control. We've had that for a while, the ability to move through a slide deck. This works a little bit differently. So I'm going to pass the whole presentation over to the next presenter. They have to accept. So they'll do that now. They accept slide control. Now, now I just get the attendee view along with everybody else. Here's the main slide that's being shown and they have a full presenter view. Like we just saw, they have speaker notes in front of them. They can now turn on or off their slide navigator. Everything I just showed the next presenter can now take advantage of and have right at their fingertips. Really, really, really cool. She gives her presentation. In this case, she moves the, through the slides as she wants. And at any time as the, the, the sharer, the, the host here in this case, I can take back over the slide view, get my view back. One of the things I think is just so powerful about this is this is all happening right in the zoom window. So let me show you how I usually set things up. I don't know if I use timers so much. I don't even know if I use speaker notes so much, maybe you can tell, but I do use chat and Q and a a lot. And because all of this is right here in a window, I can have everything I need. I have my current slide. I have my next slide. I have my speaker notes and I have chat and Q and a all open right in front of me to connect with my audience, make sure everyone is on the same page and having a good time and learning everything that they need to learn in this session all while using zoom. We have all kinds of different ways to import that type of content in, but I'd encourage you to create one from a, from a new template, create one from scratch, create, create that great idea, slide deck that you have, jump into a zoom experience and begin sharing that out with your audience as soon as you can.
