[00:00:05] Speaker 1: In this video, we'll walk through file management in Rev, how your files are organized, and how to add, organize, share, and download them. Everything in Rev lives in a workspace. Your My Files workspace is private to you. It's where your files are stored by default, and no one else can see them unless you share. You'll also have a Shared With Me folder, where any file someone sends you shows up automatically. And if you're working with a team, shared workspaces let a group create, view, and edit files together, based on each person's role. To add files, use the upload box on your homepage. You can upload straight from your device, drag and drop, pull from cloud storage like Dropbox or Google Drive, paste a link to an online file, or upload a zip folder. You can also start an upload anytime with the Plus New button in the left menu. Once your files are in, a few tools keep them straight. Add folders to group your work. Use the menu next to any file to rename it, or move it into another folder or workspace. Add color tags to group files by matter, client, or priority. Then filter by tag to narrow your view. And when you're after something specific, the search bar up top finds files by name, keyword, order number, or reference name. To share a file, open its menu and choose Share. From there, you can copy a link or send it straight to an email address. You control who gets in. Limit it to anyone in your organization, open it to anyone with the link, or restrict it to specific email addresses. And you choose whether they can view the file or edit it. To download a file, open its menu and choose Download. Need several at once? Check the boxes next to the files you want and download them together as a zip. You can also export files straight to Google Drive. One thing to keep in mind, when you delete a file or folder in Rev, it's permanent. It's removed from our servers and can't be recovered. So before you delete anything, make sure you've downloaded whatever you still need. That's file management in Rev. To keep going, check out our other tutorials.

Arow Summary
The tutorial explains how file management works in Rev. Files are stored in workspaces: My Files is private by default, Shared With Me collects files sent by others, and shared workspaces support team collaboration based on user roles. Users can upload files from devices, by drag and drop, cloud services, online links, or ZIP folders, and can begin uploads from the Plus New menu. Organization tools include folders, renaming, moving files between folders or workspaces, color tags, filtering, and search by file name, keyword, order number, or reference name. Files can be shared via link or email with access scopes and view/edit permissions. Users can download individual files, batch-download selected files as a ZIP, or export them to Google Drive. Deleted files and folders are permanently removed and cannot be recovered, so important content should be downloaded first.
