Speaker 1: Hey guys, welcome to the video. Today is Monday, July 24th. I'm getting this video started, I think it's going to be a week in the life because I've tried filming numerous days in the life and they're just really boring, sad to say. So here's what I currently have pending. It's only four transcripts, one of which I am writing today, the bottom one there. I've recently, like within the past month or two, been trying to reduce the amount of work that I take on and just generally reduce my availability for work. So what I'm trying to do now is something closer to two live jobs and two transcription jobs each week, whereas before I was closer to like three and three or even three and four and I basically had no time to do anything except work and take care of like my very basic human needs. So now that I actually have free time in my life, I've been doing fun things, which is so amazing. Over the weekend we went to the movies and saw Barbie, which was a really good movie. I highly recommend if you're interested at all, go check it out. I've also started playing a game on my Nintendo Switch, which has been collecting dust for an extremely long time. I started playing Serasa and the Lost Demon, which has been really fun. So I am now going to start writing this transcription job. It's just about four hours long and that's the only thing on my to-do list. So I'm just going to write this and that's it. If I feel like editing afterwards, I can, but I don't have to. And that is amazing. Okay, I just passed the two hour mark on this transcription job, so I'm going to stop now and have lunch and then get back to it. Okay, so I finished writing this transcription job. It ended up being about 175 pages and I do still have energy, so I'm going to work on this one, editing this one, which is about 125 pages, and just go into it with no expectation of like how far I need to get or anything like that and just work as long as I feel like working, essentially, and then we'll do dinner and then we'll kind of wrap up the day here. So I'm making some of this Echinacea elderberry immunity tea from Tabitha Brown's Target collaboration from last summer, I think. But yeah, I am going to be out of the house and on the subway two days this week, so I feel like I need my immune system to be top notch. I just got this package from Amazon, one of my very few Prime Day purchases. It was a case of six of these onion soup packets for like $2.35 or something. I also got my Holo Taco anniversary collection, which is the coolest packaging I've ever seen. It's like a VHS tape. I'm not going to be able to do this with one hand. Okay, so it's about 10 o'clock now, which is a much more normal human time for me to be awake, fully awake and functioning. A lot has happened in the past 24 hours work-wise, so I'm actually going to start a new pending list, even though I still have these four, because there's a lot more to add and I just don't want to have to keep flipping between the two pages, so let's do that. Okay, so here is what the new pending list is looking like. It looks like a lot, but I just basically took a couple new transcription jobs and I finished editing this one yesterday and I started on this one, and that's also what I was working on this morning. I'll definitely finish that today, and then I want to write these three, the Rush transcription jobs today as well, so I might start working on that now and then finish editing this one after that, but we'll see what happens. And my schedule for this week also got changed a little bit. So previously I had in-person job on Thursday and Friday and also Monday, but my Thursday job got switched to a Wednesday job and then my Friday job was a half day and is now a full day, so it's going to be Friday, Monday, and Wednesday, which is actually better than Thursday, Friday, and Monday, so not a bad change at all. Okay, so I'm at about the 30 minute mark, and it is so slow. There's an interpreter, but also everyone takes super long pauses in between everything they say, so I bumped it up to 1.4x speed and it's going a little better. I'm only at 10 pages, usually for a deposition I get about a page a minute, especially in the first part, so I should be at 30 by now and I'm only at 10, but at least it'll be easy to edit, so at least there's that. Okay, so I'm at the 30 minute mark, and it is so slow, so I bumped it up to 1.4x speed and it is so slow, so I bumped it up to 1.4x speed and it is so slow, so I bumped it up to 1.4x speed and it is so slow, so I bumped it up to 1.4x speed and it is so slow, so I bumped it up to 1.4x speed and it is so slow, so I bumped it up to 1.4x speed and it is so slow, so I bumped it up to 1.4x speed and it is so slow, so I bumped it up to 1.4x So I'm having like a little bit of difficulty staying focused and on task today. I'm still working on editing this transcription job, and I want to get to hopefully more than one of these today. I don't know if it's going to happen, but that is my goal. I think that it's partially because, or maybe entirely because I have, like, the Sunday scaries because I have an in-person job tomorrow and it's been a long time since I've had an in-person job, like two... maybe even longer than two weeks. It may have even been in June, so that's like almost a whole month away. I'm feeling kind of anxious about it, I guess. I know I shouldn't... I should only worry about it when it's time to worry about it, which would be tomorrow and not today, but it is still creeping into my thoughts quite regularly today. But I'm also trying to think to myself, like, let's be good to future me. I need to get these two done for sure today, which they will. Like, this one's already done. I'm almost done with this one. Then these are due on August 1st, which is Tuesday. I have an in-person job tomorrow and then an in-person job on Monday, which is the 31st, so I'm not going to have a whole lot of time to get these finished. So I really need to get as much work as I can done today. I'm also trying to find something that I could, like, maybe be excited about for tomorrow so it's not just, like, pure dread. And this is the area I'm going to be in, and I'm thinking someplace I've been before in this area is... where is it? Oh, here we go. Right here. This Omusubi place. I think I might go there tomorrow, like for lunch for sure, and then maybe I'll go afterwards and get something to take home. They're really good, but I just don't know what the situation's going to be tomorrow. I'll try and take you if it goes well, I guess. I just never know what to expect with these in-person jobs. Sometimes they're really scary, like, important people, important cases, very public cases I've even been on, so... But at the end of the day, they're still just people. It's still just words that I'm writing down. I need to remind myself of that more often. Okay, so here is how we are ending the week. I think I started this week with just these first four, and we are ending with a total of 12 transcripts across seven different jobs. So some of them are multi-witness. And if you're curious, some of the subject matter we are dealing with here is EEO complaints, so workplace discrimination. We've also got workers' comp, so workplace injury. We've got, what else do we have? Nursing home negligence. We've got apartment management company mismanagement, I guess. And we've got patent infringement. And I think, yeah, one of the ones I haven't written yet is a police case, so something about an arrest or something that was not good. I don't know. But anyway, I hope you enjoyed this video. Different style with a week in the life instead of a day in the life. If you did, make sure you give it a like and subscribe for the next one. And I'll see you guys next time. Bye.
