Speaker 1: Hi everyone, this is a quick little demo on how AI can help translate any language into spoken English without having to, I guess in a sense, prompt it to say, this is French or this is English or Spanish, it will automatically detect what language it is. So I'm just going to go ahead and see what that looks like. As you can see, this is taking a lot of... Welcome to my demo. And what happens is that as it runs all locally,

Speaker 1: Oh, that wasn't actually that bad. As I was mentioning, this takes a lot of computing power at this point in time, but ultimately what is happening is that it's pre-recording it and transcribing it, translating it and returning it back from a text-to-speech. Pretty simple stuff. The ultimate goal of this application would be to simply put on some headphones and have the world be translated into the language of your choice, therefore eliminating any barriers that you might have, say in your job, new country, or you're simply a tourist.
