Are AirPods Pro 3 Good Enough for Remote Calls? (Full Transcript)

[00:00:00] Speaker 1: I see people using AirPods for remote interviews, podcasts, and video calls all the time. And almost every single time, the audio sucks. But over the last few years, it seems like AirPods have gotten a lot better. So is that still actually true? I just picked up a pair of the latest and greatest AirPod Pro version 3, and there are a few reasons they actually make sense for remote calls. They're wireless, they're incredibly easy to use, and the newer versions have much better voice processing and noise isolation than the AirPods we were using a few years ago. But there's still one pretty obvious problem. The microphone is way up here. Compare that to a dedicated microphone sitting just a few inches from your mouth, and there's only so much software can do to make up for that distance. Although Riverside is pretty good at it. But instead of me telling you whether they're good enough, let's actually listen. This is what I sound like using the AirPod Pro 3s to record a remote video call.
